When taking a language course abroad, you should first know that the classes, unless indicated to be individual, are in a group. They are usually up to 12-15 students of any nationality, where you can enrich yourself both from the language you are learning and from different cultures.
The size of the group will depend on the season in which you take your course (in low season they are smaller) and the option you choose.
As for classes per week, it’s usually 15, 20 or 25. The duration of classes varies by school, offering 45, 50 or 60 minutes. Therefore, depending on the length of classes, you will have more or less classes per week. For example, a course of 20 classes per week of 45 minutes each class is 15 actual class hours per week and yet if the duration of the class is 60 minutes is 20 actual hours of class.
