Interview with Patricia Mullen, Executive Director of IH Newcastle: “We encourage language travel as the best way to achieve fluency”

PATRICIA MULLEN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF IH NEWCASTLE

Why should a student choose your school?

We would recommend our school to clients because we are a very well-established organisation which offers a wide range of professional courses for a very economical price so good value for money. We also are proud of our diverse natioanlity mix which is great to learn English. We are a family run business and really care about our students welfare and that they receive a warm welcome and have fun while learning English.

In your opinion, which are the main benefits for a student to study abroad?

The main benefit is full immersion in a the culture and being surrounded by the language all the time. This is irreplacable in my opinion and we encourage language travel as the best way to achieve fluency.

How do you see the future of language tourism?

We think that even though online courses have replaced face to face this year travel will still be seen as an important way to learn a language. Even in these difficult times there is a need which is hopefully an optimistic sign.

What types of courses do you think will be most in demand in the future?

Teacher Training Methodology Courses. Younger Leaners . IELTS prep, Cambridge Courses.
