In your opinion, what are the main benefits for a student to study abroad?

How do you see the future of language tourism?

Such a hard question but i will try to answer. I see the future of language tourism becoming more niche, I still think more people want to learn a new language more than ever and experience new cultures. Humans are explorers and that cant be dimed by COVID or any other setback. I think quality independent schools like us will continue to be in demand.

What types of courses do you think will be most in demand in the future?

I still think General English will be the most popular course although other courses will grow in popularity. We have seen IELTS and Cambridge courses continue to be popular as well.

Why would a student choose your school?

Because LAL has more than 40 years of experience empowering people to communicate effectively with the global community by means of an excellent and enriching learning experience. We only have native and certificate teachers, also we work with the National Geographic Learning. If English is needed for work, travel or study LAL’s experienced teachers can help the students to practice the language using technology and real life situations. We like our students to be involved in their learning, so as well as planning lessons and progress checks we ask students about what they want to learn. In your opinion, what are the main benefits for a student to study abroad?

Studying abroad is therefore a unique opportunity to see more of the world, it is an opportunity to help people to learn new languages, appreciate other cultures, overcome challenges of living in another country and gain a greater understanding of the world. English is an universally used language, it can be quite advantageous to study in a country such as South Africa. Students will be able to study in English, speak to locals and really develop their language skills.

How do you see the future of language tourism?

Language barriers have widely been recognized as a critical obstacle to transcultural communication, which can impede people’s intention to visit a place or work for an international company or have a deal with someone in another country. Good relationships cannot be maintained without good quality communication between people. While the humanity exist the people must be prepared for the Real Life, which means be able and prepared for new opportunities and experiences and I am sure that the language skills is much important as a degree. So, even the challenging times our industry is facing I see our future with good hope and positivism.

In your opinion, what are the main benefits for a student to study abroad?

Spending a time abroad studying is an one-in-a-lifetime experience that students never regret. We believe that language is learnt inside and outside the classroom. The best way to do it is by combining both. At the same time of the total immersion the students learn a bit more about our wonderful culture and history.

How do you see the future of language tourism?

I believe language tourism will be adapted to the new circumstances as it has been doing since a long time now. Society is changing and the so the profile of our customers. We need to see that and change with them in order to offer them what they need in the way they need it. We should inspire them and motive them to learn.

What types of courses do you think will be most in demand in the future?

We have noticed that one of the most in demand courses already is ILETS which is useful for both studying and working. Nevertheless, we believe that a combination of courses is essential such as general English and Business or General English and Culture where students keep learning English but through different discipline. I reckon that it has never been more important to know a language as it is now and specially English. As well as the Erasmus+ programmes are growing more and more as the profile of the companies has changed as well and in concrete the international companies. they really appreciate the candidates who have a working experience abroad.

Just 5 mins walking for the schools we can find the well known Stephen’s Green park and the Stephen’s Green shopping centre. Things will start slowly at first. There will be a few innovators who test the waters initially, and then when others see them having incredible experiences all in very safe environments which follow government protocols, then people will race to get their lives back on track and enjoy the experiences they had to put on hold for too long.

Academic programs with Pathways to High Schools, Colleges and Universities. I also see key business programs with an emphasis on digital marketing as being very much in demand in the next 12 months.

Why would a student choose his school?

Our school was the first on the island in 1980 and since then we have focused on providing the best English programs with qualified teachers, and the best mix of student nationality. The location is very convenient surrounded by beaches and all the amenities for students’ stay.

In your opinion, what are the main benefits for a student studying abroad?

I came to Malta from Venezuela in 2014 and studied for 11 months at inlingua, so far it has been one of the best experiences in my life, you will meet people from all over the world, you will learn about their culture, history, gastronomy, it’s like travelling to different countries but you are in an English classroom learning a new language with other students who are at the same level of learning something completely new. if you are learning for a long period you will miss your family, friends, your country, your food, but you will appreciate it more when you come back but having new friends from different countries that you will then visit and practice your new language with them.

How do you see the future of language tourism?

Malta has become one of the 6th most popular destinations for learning English. Language tourism in Malta is very essential to the economy, as we have around 40 English language schools on the island the industry has become very competitive, however, we all try to offer the best experience for them, with regards to courses, accommodation and activities. Malta is growing every day in the tourism sector and many changes have been made to improve their stays and I believe it will continue to grow in the same way despite the Covid situation.

What types of courses do you think will be the most in demand in the future?

Business English for an affordable price will be an excellent choice in the future, but General English will remain the demanding alternative.
