Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Semester course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation.Immerse yourself in the English language and spend a semester studying, getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially produced study materials.

Linguaskill Business measures the ability of non-native speakers to communicate in English in everyday business environments. The course is an excellent choice for students who plan to use English for business or the workplace. As taught at VanWest College, the course exposes students to a wide variety of authentic Business English materials. Our most popular General English language course consists of 20 lessons of General English Fluency group classes per week. The classes focus on improving your accuracy, fluency, and confidence in the English language. With a focus on real-life grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation you will be better able to communicate successfully with people from all over the world. This course runs in the afternoon.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This General English language course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

The Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business is designed to offer a grounding in all that is required to launch your own business, whether your plans are for a one-person microbusiness or the first steps into something much bigger. Our experienced, entrepreneurial trainers will support you in developing the knowledge base and skill set to analyse and evaluate information to address a wide range of planning and operational challenges.  This is a course with a focus on modern-day approaches to marketing, and with a strong emphasis on the legal and financial requirements for a start up business.

The C1 Advanced Exam Preparation Course focuses on improving written and spoken English along with the provision of key examination techniques from our qualified teachers.
