The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

Improve your English and take college credit courses! This course is ideal if you are interested in art and media and want to try out a few courses orif you want to study more than just English while you are in Vancouver. If you are on a gap semester from your university or college in your home country, this 23- week program gives you great study abroad experience. After you improve your English, you select a specific applied arts area to take 3 courses (12credits). When you take your college courses, you will be in classes with regular fulltime college students. IELTS is a highly respected test of English language skills for educational and professional purposes, particularly for students who wish to go to university in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Our IELTS preparation course will teach you valuable English skills and strategies for taking the IELTS exam, helping you to achieve a better score. Learn about the different exam sections, the ways to maximize your exam time, and the types of questions on the IELTS exam. You will also practice reading, writing, listening and speaking, and improve your grammar and vocabulary. This supplementary course aims to give you a strong grasp of general English, while also teaching you for the IELTS exam. We also offer an Intensive Preparation course that gives you a stronger focus on the exam.

English for Academic Purposes courses provide language instruction for students who wish to study at a university where English is the language of instruction. Language skills addressed include: listening comprehension, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development for University levels.

This General English language course consists of the 20 lessons of the General Main English course plus 8 additional lessons per week which provide further practice in all aspects of English. The timetable below is a sample. Please note that timetables are subject to the English of the student. Classes can be either in the morning or afternoon. Learning Outcomes: by the end of the course students should be able to communicate in English more confidently in different situations outside the classroom.

General Language English classes are an opportunity for you to improve not only your speaking skills, but also to practise reading, writing, and listening. Each lesson consists of a mix of grammar, vocabulary, and communicative activities to keep the class lively and interesting.

If you’re hoping to develop your language skills in a short amount of time, our Platinum Courses are the ideal option for you. They are designed for busy professionals, executives and mature learners who hope to improve quickly. You can choose to study in specialised one-to-one sessions, where the lessons are tailor-made to meet your specific personal needs. It’s entirely up to you how many of these lessons you have per week and the teacher can, if you choose, focus on your specialised professional area. Alternatively, you can opt for small group sessions where classes will have a maximum of five students. Your lessons will take place in one of our dedicated Platinum Centres, which have comfortable modern classrooms and a Platinum Clubhouse for you to enjoy outside of class. On a Platinum course, you will have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals from all over the world.
