English Courses

This Package includes a 24 week Course, fees and accommodation in Sliema Residence. Sharing Triple room only. A typical self-catering shared student apartment in the heart of Sliema just 5 minutes walk away from the school. All the modern amenities students require in order to have a comfortable stay are included! The property boasts an excellent location and it is an ideal place for students staying for 8 weeks or more. Students will share a bedroom and bathroom with a max of 3 students in a shared apartment which includes a fully equipped communal kitchen, comfortable dining area and lounge, laundry facilities, free WIFI and water and electricity as well as regular room cleaning and linen change.

ILSC offers a wide range of courses. You can take any combination you wish, depending on your interests, goals, language level and schedule. Most courses are offered at many different levels and last four weeks.

The Combination Course takes place all year round, from Monday to Friday. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course. There are two afternoons a week of one-to-one lessons, designed to meet the individual requirements of each student. Prior to the first one-to-one session, students complete a Needs Analysis which helps the teacher to plan the one-to-one lessons according to the student’s specific needs. Teachers then work closely with the student to ensure these needs are being met. All students receive a final report detailing their progress and outlining future areas for attention. The minimum age is 16 and there is a maximum of 14 students per class. A combination course is 26.6lessons (20 hours) per week. 15 hours General English in the mornings and 5 hours one-to-one lessons in the afternoons in the UK.

This General English language course has 30 Lessons per week; 15 students maximum; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 25 hours; Age 16+. The LSI Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well-rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 in the morning. During the afternoon there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests. Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. Perfect for business people and mature students. The General and Intensive Course PLUS suits students with limited time to improve their English for work and study, with added one-to-one's. This course is perfect for business people and mature students. The General and Intensive Course PLUS content is the standard General and Intensive English courses Monday to Friday. In addition, you will receive six hours of one-to-one tuition tailored to your specific language needs.

This English Language Course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet. This course is not suitable for Student Visa Holders as a main course.

We offer General English language courses for all levels, from beginner to proficiency. We also offer timetables that give you the flexibility to choose a course that best suits your needs from 1-36+ weeks. We believe that you will learn faster and more effectively if your lessons are engaging, fun and relevant, that’s why our teachers use a range of techniques and develop classes that are motivating and build your confidence. This will allow time to focus on any areas of weakness. Any weekly programme is influenced not only by the course book syllabus but also by the learning goals and interests of the students in any one group.

An Intensive Language Course at Sprachcaffe / Languages PLUS in English is the ideal choice for a more in-depth focus on the language. Whether you are a complete beginner or simply wish to brush up on your languages, this course will be of real benefit in helping you to achieve your language goals. With the Intensive Course, more emphasis is placed on learning, thus leaving less free time for extra curricular activities. Six daily lessons help you to make effective progress in a much shorter time.Intensive Course structure The six lessons that you will have each day are as follows:* 2 lessons - grammar and general vocabulary exercises* 2 lessons - conversation* 2 lessons - reading, understanding texts, listening, writing. The course structure may vary depending on the individual teachers and students. The topics may refer to current articles from local newspapers and magazines. We work with texts that match the students' language skills. This way, the texts and topics can be discussed actively by the group.

This General English language course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

The General English + One-to-One course is designed to give you a mix of group classes and 1:1 lessons where you can focus on your specific language needs. You study on the core morning programme of the General English course in a mixed-national class at your level for 20 lessons per week. You can then study 5 individual lessons per week with a teacher who will design a study programme based your specific needs.
