This General English language course is made up of 20 lessons per week/15 hours per week that combine language learning with a special focus on developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. This is best for students who want to study at a steady pace (Morning classes only)

Our General English language courses aim to develop students' ability to communicate effectively in English. All aspects of language are covered with an emphasis on speaking and listening. These carefully structured and flexible courses give students an opportunity to select from a range of afternoon classes. This enhances and personalises the students' learning.

Study General English three times a week. (Three times per week =3hr per day). This option is great for someone who has a more flexible schedule and wants to study in between shifts. Maybe you work in a bar or restaurant and want to fit your studies around your job. If that person is you, then three classes a week is a great combination. Your teacher will set you homework and extra reading so that don’t miss out. And of course, they will be happy to review any topic with you that you worked on at home.

With this General English language course you will join multi-national language classes following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains, skills and competencies appropriate to your level of ability. Objectives: This programme of study is intended to enhance the all-round language and communication skills of those who wish to work or study more effectively in an international context. You will improve your language skills and also enhance your inter-cultural communication.

The 25+ Course is designed to make the best use of a short period of study. We aim to improve students' confidence and accuracy when they speak English. Lessons are designed to develop confidence in using English in both social and professional situations. An adult environment in a building dedicated to our mature students over the age of 25. Social events and excursion possibilities to help students make the most of their short stay in Chester. Students will complete a questionnaire prior to their course and our staff will design the course programme to reflect their needs. With our small classes learning is highly effective and personalised. The one-to-one lessons can focus on: • General English • work-related English • English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Designed especially for mature learners, this English language +30 Core Course focuses on speaking and listening, and expressing yourself on day-to-day topics. Characteristics of the course: Focus is on all 4 skills, speaking, writing, listening, reading; Practical grammar; Communication is key, with plenty of opportunity for practice; Dynamic and interactive classroom environment; Authentic materials – newspaper, video and audio recordings; focus on pronunciation; constant correction and feedback from your teacher; all books or materials are included in the fees.
