Our most popular General English language course consists of 20 lessons of General English Fluency group classes per week. The classes focus on improving your accuracy, fluency, and confidence in the English language. With a focus on real-life grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation you will be better able to communicate successfully with people from all over the world. This course runs in the afternoon.

Personal Intensive CourseThis course is designed for the professional who wishes to concentrate on particular language skills or work on specific areas of English. The course is tailor-made to suit the exact requirements of the client and all participants complete a Needs Analysis prior to their arrival.

Our Plus courses combine 20 lessons of General English in the mornings with 6 extra lessons in the afternoons. These afternoon classes are in smaller groups with a maximum of 10 students per class. This allows the teacher to give more attention to each student and focus on the specific areas of English that are of interest to the class.

Description​General English programmes are suitable for everyone and provide a good foundation in the main linguistic skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. With a strong focus on communication skills, these courses also provide a solid foundation in the key skills required in the Trinity College London ISE Examinations as well as Cambridge examinations.The method used is task-based, which means that by the end of each level students are expected to be able to complete a certain amount of tasks through English. There is a central course book and workbook and teachers supplement these using authentic materials such as newspapers, magazines, menus, manuals, brochures and a range of other books.All courses incorporate the use of Digital Interactive Whiteboards, the Internet and audio-visual technology. AwardISI Certificate in English. The Methodology and Language Development course in Dublin combines the latest in best practice in general pedagogy with the utilisation of practical online tools for education. It will give participants both a refresher in the areas of lesson planning, classroom management, and content knowledge, as well as introducing some innovations in practice which can be integrated the current context. This course is designed for teachers who are looking to upskill in a number of areas. Teachers who are looking for a revision of best practice, or who are looking for some new ideas in traditional settings will gain from this course, as will teachers who are looking at learning more about the use of technology both in and outside the classroom.

Our Methodology and Language Development course is intended for non-native English teachers who wish to refresh their own language skills and examine different teaching methods and approaches. This course provides opportunities for teachers to discuss and share ideas with colleagues from Europe and beyond.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This programme allows Non-EU students to progress through at least two levels over an 8-month period and gain a professional, internationally-recognised English qualification. Students on this programme can work 20 hours per week during the 6-month study period, and 40 hours per week during the 2 month holiday.
Award
All students who successfully complete the programme receive the ISI Certificate in English. Non-EU students must complete an official examination at the end
of the programme such as Trinity ISE, FCE, CAE and IELTS.
Entry requirements
Students should be at least 18 years old on the course start date.
Students on Academic Year Academic Year 15 (AY15) programmes are integrated with the General English classes. This creates an international mix of students, each doing courses of different durations. With a full 25-week programme, Academic Year students can expect to progress through at
least two levels during their course before completing their final exit examination. Our morning classes offer a greater international mix of students, while the
discounted afternoon classes tend to have fewer nationalities.

Intensive CourseThe Intensive Course covers the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and is designed to improve communication in spoken and written English. To build students’ confidence, accuracy and fluency, two class teacher work closely together to provide learner-focused lessons.Classes are held in the mornings and the timetable for our Intensive Course is ideal for students who want free time to join in our social programme, spend time with their friends or work on a part-time basis.
