Our General English courses focus on the four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing to help you to use the English language more effectively. Whether you are studying English to improve your career, preparing for university, or for personal development this course will help you achieve your goals: Communicate much more confidently; Speak more accurately and fluently; Improve your grammar; Increase your vocabulary; Be able to socialise in English more effectively.

During the General English language lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You will use a textbook and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines. For courses longer than 24 weeks, please refer to the International School Year courses. 20 Lessons per week (4 lessons per day);1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes;15 students max. per class; Age 16+.

For those who want to succeed in today's global workplace, this intensive English for Work course develops the fluency, accuracy and specific communication skills you need to advance confidently in your chosen career.Our timetable is double banking. On Group A classes are held on monday, wednesday,friday during morning time and tuesday and thursday during afternoon On Group B classes are held on tuesday and thursday morning time & monday, wednesday and friday during afternoon. In BWS Germanlingua we have special classes for students who need the German language to work as a musician or study music-related programs in Germany. During these lessons, we focus on the needs of the participants and communicate special vocabulary and language skills for their work and studies.

The evening Dutch language courses are organized every two months. Each course involves 30 teaching hours divided over 6 weeks, the lessons take place twice a week, 150-minute (2.5 hours). The schedule depends on the level. Free additional online materials are available to make your Dutch language journey a success! The lessons start at 18.15 and end at 20.45. There is a short break.

UNIVERSITY & COLLEGE PATHWAYSAfter completion of the EAP pathway program students can enter several Canadian universities. Students do not have to write the TOEFL or IELTS exams.Conditional AdmissionStudents who have completed our University Pathway Program will meet the English language proficiency requirements; however, students must apply separately with all supporting academic documents for entry into our partnered universities. Canadian College of English Language staff will assist with this process. Some of our pathway partners accept students at lower levels–please ask one of our experts for details.English Level RequirementTo be accepted into ENGL140, students must pass ENGL125 or score 60% on our ENGL130 exam. Students with an IELTS of 5.5 are also permitted. In order to take ENGL145, students must successfully complete ENGL140.
