General English Full-Time is CRICOS registered and consists of a minimum of 20 hours per week with an additional 5 hours per week of Guided Individual Learning (GIL) We understand that every english student comes to Australia with unique goals, plans and learning needs. We offer General English language courses for all levels, from beginner to proficiency. We also offer timetables that give you the flexibility to choose a course that best suits your needs from 1-36+ weeks. We believe that you will learn faster and more effectively if your lessons are engaging, fun and relevant, that’s why our teachers use a range of techniques and develop classes that are motivating and build your confidence. This will allow time to focus on any areas of weakness. Any weekly programme is influenced not only by the course book syllabus but also by the learning goals and interests of the students in any one group.

Improve all areas of your general English with our English 15 language course. You will focus on English for real-life situations using speaking, reading, writing and listening. Your class will have students at the same English level as you and the teacher will base lessons around the needs of the group. Group work will be balanced with individual support and encouragement from your teacher. This course runs in the afternoons!

On the General English 20 Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week (15 hours), which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. Your confidence will improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Our standard ESL program has ten levels that range from beginner to intermediate to advanced classes. Students will take classes that focus on different English language skills such as reading, listening, grammar and communication. As students improve theirs level they can take other language skills such as pronunciation, conversation or writing. 

This General English language course consists of the 20 lessons of the General Main English course plus 8 additional lessons per week which provide further practice in all aspects of English. The timetable below is a sample. Please note that timetables are subject to the English of the student. Classes can be either in the morning or afternoon. Learning Outcomes: by the end of the course students should be able to communicate in English more confidently in different situations outside the classroom.

This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet. 10 lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class; Course length: 1-11 weeks; Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes; Ages 16+.

The Intensive General English Language morning course is our most popular option for students enrolling from overseas. They offer full immersion and the chance to engage with other students throughout the day, to have full access to school services and to participate in our English Extras classes and social activities. The General English Language course focuses on improving your all-round English and in particular your communication skills. Our focus is on students interacting and communicating with each other and getting you to use the language you learn to make you more fluent and confident in English.
