The long-term intensive French Language course for teens works on the 4 skills according to the CEFRL (the Common European framework of reference for languages): you learn to read, write, listen and speak so as to better understand and assimilate French language basics. The General English Course at ELC Eastbourne is designed to give you the confidence to communicate effectively in real-life situations. The course provides effective English language training for people who need English for work, further study,travel/tourism or for your own pleasure. In addition, it can help provide preparation for a number of exams including IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, KET and PET. There is a balanced programme, focusing on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, whilst covering essential grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, idioms and colloquial language.

Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination. This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

The Intensive English Language Course consists of 15 weekly lessons focused solely on general English. These are lessons focused on developing reading, writing, oral and listening comprehension and conversation. You will have three hours a day of class, each lesson is 60 minutes, with the estimated timetable being from 9:00 to 12:25, Monday to Friday.

This General English language course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

By following a General English language Course, students will increase their accuracy in grammar and will increase their competence and confidence in the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. The General Course has 15 hours of teaching timetabled per week. The General and Intensive Course PLUS suits students with limited time to improve their English for work and study, with added one-to-one's. This course is perfect for business people and mature students. The General and Intensive Course PLUS content is the standard General and Intensive English courses Monday to Friday. In addition, you will receive six hours of one-to-one tuition tailored to your specific language needs.
