The semi-intensive course includes the full core class with Language Development and English Skills, with the addition of three electives per week. This will allow exploration of an extensive range of elective options as well as building on a solid foundation of the language. Our General English Semi-Intensive course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs. These electives are: confident communication, pronunciation, English for journalism, exam skills... among many others.

Studying a General English Language Course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. General English Full-Time is CRICOS registered and consists of a minimum of 20 hours per week with an additional 5 hours per week of Guided Individual Learning (GIL). We understand that every english student comes to Australia with unique goals, plans and learning needs. The General English course will cover the four main skills you need to write and speak English(reading, writing, listening and speaking), with an emphasis on practical communication in common situations, such as travelling, shopping, and leisure time.There will be support with grammar and pronunciation, and we will also introduce study skills to help you to become an efficient learner and to keep learning English when you are out of the classroom. Important: Brazilian agencies must book through the Cape Town USD campus.

The Super Intensive French course E includes the morning General French Course A and five afternoon lessons of your choice. This Super Intensive French course E allows our students to add to the three ‘Writing & Grammar’ afternoon lessons or the two ‘Oral communication’ workshops or the two workshops dedicated to ‘French Culture and Civilisation’.

The Compact Course offers 20 lessons (15 hours) of general English lessons per week in the UK. Lessons will improve all your key skills at a consistent rate: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. You will be assigned to your general English class based on your current Kings Level. We have classes suitable for students at Level 1 (Beginner) right through to Level 8 (Advanced), and you will progress up through the levels as your skills improve and your confidence grows. The Compact Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

General English Language Afternoon Courses at Lexis English offer students the flexibility of combining their English language education with a large range of options classes – personalising each student’s course to suit their academic needs. For students wanting to brush up their English skills for travelling, employment or to work towards a placement in one of our academic programs or Certificate or Diploma courses, our General English course is designed to get results. The General English syllabus is 15 hours (15 x 60) per week and is designed to improve the student's understanding of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. All levels from elementary to advanced are catered for throughout the year. This course runs in the afternoons and is designed for those students who wish to have free time to explore the city or do other activities.

This General English language course is composed of: 10 lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class. Course length: 1-50 weeks. Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes. Ages 16+. This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet.

Our Intensive English Language course provides fundamental understanding of the English language through a balanced programme. Grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, colloquial language and idioms are all essential parts of our General English lessons.General English takes the students from Elementary (Basic survival English) to Advanced (Near proficiency English).

This General English language course provides effective training for students who need English for work, study or travel. Experienced teachers use a course book and supplementary material to help students produce and practice the four language skills. The aim of this course is to help participants to communicate, and emphasis is placed on encouraging fluency and confidence in the English language. The timetable will vary depending on your level.
