This is a course for those with no or very limited prior knowledge of the Swedish language. Our General English courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination.The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

This kind of Ukrainian language learning program usually means a bit less individual attention but more fun because of interactions in a group. Before the program starts each student is tested to estimate the level of Ukrainian language skills, and due to the results students are divided into groups of 2-8 participants with the same level. On average our groups contain a maximum of 4 students because of different levels of the students and personal learning needs. Learning books and certificate of attendance included.

ILSC Montreal offers a wide range of General French language courses. You can take any combination you wish, depending on your interests, goals, language level and schedule. At the end of the four week session, your french language level will be assessed. You can then choose new courses and/or move up a level in yourcurrent or new course. The Intensive General English Course is suitable for students who want to maximise on work carried out in the Standard Course. This course takes place all year round. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course from Monday to Friday (09.30 -13.00 in the UK ). There are also three afternoon lessons a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (14.00 -16.30 in the UK or 14.00-16.00 in Ireland) which are focused on improving the students’ speaking skills and ability to communicate through English. In the afternoon lessons, students have the opportunity to improve their communicative proficiency through discussions, topical debates, authentic materials and use of portable and static technology. Course content is partly negotiated and partly based on TED lectures.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This General English language course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.
