ILSC Montreal offers a wide range of General French language courses. You can take any combination you wish, depending on your interests, goals, language level and schedule. At the end of the four week session, your French language level will be assessed. You can then choose new courses and/or move up a level in your current or new course. This General English Language Course is suitable for students who may want to enhance their English language skills before attempting further study in Australia, or for students who want to develop their English to achieve their personal goals. General English develops and builds English language skills such as: - reading, writing and listening skills - structure, grammar, vocabulary, and idioms - speaking, pronunciation and fluency skills communication and conversation strategies.

The General ESL Programs at inlingua Victoria College of Languages consists of 6 levels of 10 weeks each. The course is designed for international students seeking practice and improvement in English as a Second Language. As an integrated course, students will focus on speaking, listening, writing and reading, as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

Our General English courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

The afternoon General English course is a less grammar intensive, diverse range of classes allowing specialisation in a variety of elective English subjects. Through the use of elective lessons, our afternoon course allows students to focus their language learning on specific skills they'd like to improve. These include English for journalism, exam skills, academic speaking and writing, confident speaking... among many others.

The LSI Intensive General English language 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well-rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 in the morning. During the afternoon there is a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests. For courses longer than 24 weeks, please refer to the International School Year courses. 30 Lessons per week; 15 students maximum; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 25 hours; Age 16+.

This General English language course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet. 10 lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class; Course length: 1-11 weeks; Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes; Ages 16+.

This course is only available to students studying in the USA or Canada. With this English language course, you get 24 lessons (18 hours) per week of General English including four lessons per week in your choice of Special Focus study.

Note: This is a complete B1 course. During the course, you will talk about lifestyle, friendship, and Sweden's government. You get to read dialogues and texts and work a lot with word knowledge. We practice a lot of natural pronunciation. In grammar, we work with, among other things, word order, adjective, and noun bending, present tense participle, adverb, and conditioning. You will learn how to write different types of texts.
