The 25+ Course is designed to make the best use of a short period of study. We aim to improve students' confidence and accuracy when they speak English. The course includes: English language work with a focus on Spoken English and conversation skills. Lessons are designed to develop confidence in using English in both social and professional situations. An adult environment in a building dedicated to our mature students over the age of 25. Social events and excursion possibilities to help students make the most of their short stay in Chester. Students will complete a questionnaire prior to their course and our staff will design the course programme to reflect their needs. With our small classes learning is highly effective and personalised. The one-to-one lessons can focus on: • General English • work-related English • English for Specific Purposes (ESP). We can provide specialised training in areas such as: • tourism management • customer services • marketing • teacher training (including CLIL and methodology) • human resources • finance • journalism

This course is perfect for those General English students with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentations and meetings abroad. Our General English courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

The General English + One-to-One course is designed to give you a mix of group classes and 1:1 lessons where you can focus on your specific language needs. You study on the core morning programme of the General English course in a mixed-national class at your level for 20 lessons per week. You can then choose to study 10 individual lessons per week with a teacher who will design a study programme based your specific needs.

The Core General English language course is based on the four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. We encourage your fluency and confidence in the language. Your teachers will use the most efficient techniques to ensure you develop accurate grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. At the start of your course  you will also receive 1 year’s subscription to BEET Online (our online learning platform) and you'll also be able to join BEET's Social Programme at least 4 nights per week.

The General English language course offers students the perfect balance between language training and leisure time. A communicative approach developing fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing ensures that the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation components are applied to actual language use. Our teachers assess their students' learning needs and objectives on the first day, and then plan their lessons accordingly. In this way, our students are motivated to keep improving, while also having a good time!

The full-time General English course morning classes have a grammar focus and we loosely follow the syllabus of the course book. We try to give you what you can’t do easily in your own country: lots of focus on speaking and listening. While learning the grammar and vocabulary of the topic, you’ll get reading and writing practice. Focus on speaking, listening, and everyday English in the afternoons, when you’ll practise English for everyday situations and use your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills to explore a range of interesting themes. The afternoon is a chance for you to immerse yourself in real-world English.
