The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

The IELTS Preparation course is aimed at students who need to improve the key language skills needed to score as high as possible in all part of the IELTS exam. Students study 20 lessons of General English lessons (15 hours), and 8 lessons of IELTS preparation lessons (6 hours) each week. They can also combine the course with additional one-to-one lessons of IELTS preparation as required. The International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) is the most established English language assessment exam recognised world-wide by universities, governments, and professional associations. The IELTS Program is essential for students who need a satisfactory IELTS exam score whether it is for university entrance, professional accreditation or immigration purposes.

The IELTS exam preparation course includes guidance on how to improve exam skills and technique during the morning classes and intense development of the 4 core language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing), language knowledge input and IELTS exam practice in the afternoon sessions.Your exam preparation class includes guidance on how to become a more independent learner, participation in the Student’s Podium (giving presentations and peer teaching) and monthly tutorials with an experienced teacher.

Our Intensive (30 lesson) General English & IELTS course helps students improve all their skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and learn the grammar, vocabulary and cultural knowledge necessary for living in the UK and using English in an international context. We focus on practical, effective and natural communication and you will get at least five pieces of new language in each 45-minute class.Mornings are coursebook-focused lessons - grammar and vocabulary. Afternoons we focus on materials and exercises to help you practice the IELTS exam tasks and prepare effectively

AT CTIC we prepare students for both the Academic Module (AC) or General Training (GT) Module of the test, and each student receives individual support and advice according to their needs.  To join this course you need an English level of at least Intermediate or IELTS Band 5 and you can study foras little as 4 weeks or as long as 20 weeks, depending on your goals. Our Academic Manager  can assess your English skills and advise you on an appropriate individualised study plan, and your progress will be carefully monitored. Students are given end of term tests every four weeks - this is a full mock test day which is designed to replicate the real exam day experience.What skills will you gain?The IELTS course is a multi-level program offered at Intermediate to Advanced Level.
