This Academic Year Abroad option (AYA) can be between 24 and 48 weeks. Each lesson is 50 minutes long. Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination.This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

The Intensive Course is our most popular choice. It combines 20 general English lessons (15 hours) with 8 Special Interest Group (SIG) lessons per week (6 hours).In the general English lessons, students will focus on improving their English language skills across the 4 key skill areas at a consistent rate — reading, writing, listening and speaking.In the Special Interest Group lessons, students can choose from a number of different options based on their own interests and language learning goals. Example options include — Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge); Business English; Group Discussion; Art and Design; Speech and Pronunciation; Academic Writing Skills; etc.The Intensive Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Semester course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation. Immerse yourself in the English language and spend a semester studying, getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially produced study materials. We have classes suitable for students at Level 1 (Beginner) right through to Level 8 (Advanced), and you will progress up through the levels as your skills improve and your confidence grows. The Compact Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.
