This course includes the General English classes, and also allows you to personalise your course by taking an additional 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of electives. You will benefit from excellent guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout this course. As your English and your confidence improve, you will broaden your horizons and gain a huge advantage in your chosen career or education. This programme is for students who study for 24 weeks or more.

Studying a General English language course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. The lessons cover the most important aspects of learning English, including grammar and pronunciation, which will help you improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. By the end of the course students should be able to communicate in English more confidently in different situations outside the classroom. The timetable below is a sample. The Compact Course offers 20 lessons (15 hours) of general English lessons per week in the UK. Lessons will improve all your key skills at a consistent rate: reading, writing, listening, speaking. You will be assigned to your general English class based on your current Kings Level. We have classes suitable for students at Level 1 (Beginner) right through to Level 8 (Advanced), and you will progress up through the levels as your skills improve and your confidence grows. The Compact Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

KAE is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK, so you can be sure of the quality of our courses. Our intensive course is great for those that need to improve quickly. Students will learn how to use English clearly and accurately within a short period. This course will also educate students on how to use English naturally in everyday situations. Classes focus on accuracy, fluency and pronunciation. In the mornings we focus on grammar and English language use. In the afternoons, we focus on speaking, listening, reading, fluency and pronunciation. Students on this course should expect to make big improvements in their English skills.

The Core General English language course is based on the four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. We encourage your fluency and confidence in the language. Your teachers will use the most efficient techniques to ensure you develop accurate grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. At the start of your course  you will also receive 1 year’s subscription to BEET Online (our online learning platform) and you'll also be able to join BEET's Social Programme at least 4 nights per week.

Our General English courses are designed to meet the needs of learners in a variety of English-language settings and aim to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. In classes with a maximum of just 10 students, you will follow an integrated skills programme that covers the areas of reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. With this option, you can add different midday options to our General English courses such as one of our Exam Preparation or Business English classes to create a course that suits your individual needs and interests.
