Our General English language courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. This course includes the General English classes, and also allows you to personalise your course by taking an additional 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of electives. This programme is for students who study for 24 weeks or more.

St Giles Vancouver offers the International Semester Course to students wishing to experience Canadian life and study General English for 6 months or longer. Additional modules also available at St Giles Vancouver are: Cambridge English, IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC exam preparation, and English for Business.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This course is only available to students studying in the USA or Canada. With this English language course, you get 24 lessons (18 hours) per week of General English including four lessons per week in your choice of Special Focus study.

Our English language Academic Year courses in Kaplan Vancouver are nine-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. This course has 20 hours of classes per week. Immerse yourself in the English language, and spend a year studying and getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially designed study materials.
