This course develops all aspects of language competence in a personalised programme coordinated by the core teacher. Our General English Morning 20 course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using skills-based and situational learning combined with one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs

The General English Course GE15 is a 15 hours per week module which runs Monday to Friday in the morning for three hours each day. This leaves you free for the remainder of the day to join the Social Activity Programme offered by Cork English Academy, study in our self access facilities or explore Cork and the surrounding areas.The daily three hour lesson covers all of the English language skills–speaking, listening, reading and writing with an emphasis on speaking and listening. The main focus of the General English 15 hour course is on communication skills in real life settings. Course books, workbooks and supplementary material including authentic materials such as newspaper articles newspapers, DVDs, the Internet, books and other media are utilized by the teacher to meet the language needs of all the individuals in the class.

General English courses will improve a wide range of skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar.  Our qualified teachers use communicative teaching methods to provide energetic and fun lessons. This course has 25 hours (30 lessons) / week – on average 5h per day. The lessons are 50 minutes long.

This programme combines our General English tuition with a unique curriculum designed to develop your 21st Century Skills and prepare you for career success. The course develops the confidence and skills you need to express yourself powerfully and is ideal if you wish to enter the workforce or advance your career at home or abroad. General English is the centre of our teaching at British Study Centres and will improve your English communication skills in an engaging, interactive way. Using materials from National Geographic Learning and a coursebook that has been specifically designed for BSC, learn new vocabulary, understand English grammar and get support in the areas you need it the most. *Note: 30 lessons = 22.5 hrs

St Giles London Central offers General English Course Group lessons, which help English students communicate more effectively and confidently in everyday situations and improve their speaking and listening skills.

With this English course we give you all the tools needed to achieve your academic, professional and personal learning goals. With your full commitment, we guarantee that you will progress to the next level of English in the time expected. If you do not progress within this time we will offer extra learning support and classes to help you reach your goals. Your timetable is flexible and will be tailored to your needs. You will study the morning programme from 10:30 to 13:00 Monday to Friday and and do extra classes on some afternoons (13:30 – 16:00) depending on the total number of hours you register for.

Our General English 20 Lesson per Week programme is the perfect English Language course for students who want to combine studying with leisure. The group classes offer you the best value for money and the opportunity to benefit from interaction with other language learners from all over the world. Our maximum class size is 12, which ensures that you will have personal attention from your teacher. This course runs in the afternoons.

If you’re hoping to develop your language skills in a short amount of time, our Platinum Courses are the ideal option for you. They are designed for busy professionals, executives and mature learners who hope to improve quickly. You can choose to study in specialised one-to-one sessions, where the lessons are tailor-made to meet your specific personal needs. It’s entirely up to you how many of these lessons you have per week and the teacher can, if you choose, focus on your specialised professional area. Alternatively, you can opt for small group sessions where classes will have a maximum of five students. Your lessons will take place in one of our dedicated Platinum Centres, which have comfortable modern classrooms and a Platinum Clubhouse for you to enjoy outside of class. On a Platinum course, you will have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals from all over the world.
