We believe that all learners choose to study the English language for a purpose and our English courses are designed with a sense of that purpose; personal, social, professional, and academic. We also emphasize the importance of learner autonomy, and our courses invite the learner to take responsibility for their progress and help them to develop their learning skills and the ability to develop themselves. This course runs in the mornings and will leave you time to look for an afternoon or evening job.

The Intensive General English Course is suitable for students who want to maximise on work carried out in the Standard Course. This course takes place all year round. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course from Monday to Friday (09.30 -13.00 in the UK). There are also three afternoon lessons a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (14.00 -16.30 in the UK or 14.00-16.00 in Ireland) which are focused on improving the students’ speaking skills and ability to communicate through English. In the afternoon lessons, students have the opportunity to improve their communicative proficiency through discussions, topical debates, authentic materials and use of portable and static technology. Course content is partly negotiated and partly based on TED lectures.

The LSI Intensive 30 French language course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve much greater fluency in a short period of time in the French language. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well-rounded insight into the french language and the culture of the country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 in the morning and during the afternoon there is a range of electives to suit all levels, needs, and interests.

Eurocentres’ English Language Courses in Cape Town will teach you all aspects of English for everyday purposes. They are available in different levels of intensity. Our courses are designed to empower you to become a confident and effective communicator in international settings. This General English language course has 24 Lessons per week. Beginner to Advanced levels are available. 1 lesson: 50 minutes. During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.

Studying a General English Language Course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. General English Part-Time is CRICOS registered and consists of a minimum of 15 hours per week We understand that every english student comes to Australia with unique goals, plans and learning needs. St Giles Brighton offers the International Semester language Course to students wishing to experience British life and study General English for 6 months or longer. Additional modules also available at St Giles Brighton are: Cambridge English, IELTS or TOEFL exam preparation, English for Business, English for Tourism and English for University Studies.

Structured like a real university year, our English Language Academic Year course in Kaplan Vancouver is a nine-month English course that aims to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. You'll build invaluable skills for your future and make lasting memories as you explore the new city and culture around you. Our Intensive Academic Year course allows you to maximize your classroom time, with extra lessons focusing on specific skills such as business English, academic English, literature or TOEFL/IELTS preparation. This course has 26 hours of lessons per week.
