The LSI English Language Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the LSI Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 (lessons 1-4). In addition during lessons 5–6, there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests. This course is suitable for Student Visa Holders.

Our standard General English language course allows you to improve all areas of your English language: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing. General English is available as a standard course (24 lessons per week). In this General English language course, you will: - Learn ‘real’ English using the latest course books and materials. - Learn, review and put into practice new language every day. - Be able to develop your communication skills by working with other students doing activities such as role-plays, pair work and group discussions. - Explore new techniques to help you improve your listening and reading. - Practise and improve your writing skills by analysing and producing documents such as emails, formal and informal letters and reports. - Have regular tutorials with your teacher to discuss your progress. - Get up to 2 hours of homework each evening.

Learning English 'Cambridge style' is a more intensive experience than studying General English at the same level. The programme is designed to help you match your fluency with a high degree of accuracy. You will quickly gain confidence and develop your own unique style of expression.  You will build a rich vocabulary and review grammar,which is tested in the Use of English component of the exam. The course has  a strong emphasis on functional English to make you better-equipped to communicate flexibly in your workplace or university, and in society. That is why a Cambridge Certificate is seen as a life-long qualification and not just a piece of paper! The Cambridge Test is one of the most recognised tests around the world, and a lot of companies in non-Englishspeaking countries require you to have a Cambridge test score when you apply for a  job. Cambridge CAE is also accepted by the Australian Department of Home Affairs for visa purposes and for entry into Bachelor and Master's courses at all major Australian universities.Who is this course for?The Cambridge English course is designed for students who wish to acquire the language and test-taking skills necessary to undertake the Cambridge test. This course is only available to students studying in the USA or Canada. With this English language course, you get 24 lessons (18 hours) per week of General English including four lessons per week in your choice of Special Focus study. With this programme, you will develop fluency, accuracy and appropriate uses of English across all four language skills. You will benefit from excellent guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout this course. Taking the time to seriously focus on your English will open up unlimited opportunities for you. This programme is for students who study for 24 weeks or more.

ATA and AYA programmes differ from shorter courses at LSI because students receive a greater level of academic support and management, including two additional weekly sessions with a teacher. An individual study plan is designed for you to suit your level, individual aims and the duration of your course. We continue to check your progress with regular meetings to make sure you achieve your aims.*

By following a General English language Course, students will increase their accuracy in grammar and will increase their competence and confidence in the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students following the Intensive English Course follow the same programme as those in the General English Course, with the addition of a 6-hour negotiated syllabus. The aim of this English language course is to fill in gaps in the students' knowledge and expertise and to address students’ particular needs.

When you finish this course you will have expanded your vocabulary, you will be able to participate and give feedback in simple informative conversations as well as able to read and understand a simpler text.

This Package includes a 48-week Course, fees and accommodation in Sliema Residence. Sharing Triple room only. A typical self-catering shared student apartment in the heart of Sliema just 5 minutes walk away from the school. All the modern amenities students require in order to have a comfortable stay are included! The property boasts an excellent location and it is an ideal place for students staying for 8 weeks or more. Students will share a bedroom and bathroom with a max of 3 students in a shared apartment which includes a fully equipped communal kitchen, comfortable dining area and lounge, laundry facilities, free WIFI and water and electricity as well as regular room cleaning and linen change.
