The Adult General English course covers general English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and language structure as well as important everyday English expressions and phrases. Our international student culture in classes also ensures that students will continue to practise their English outside the school throughout their stay in Malta. The course timetable is organised so that the students receive a balance of different types of lessons which include general conversation activities such as debates, discussions and role-play, as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation exercises.

The ideal English course for couples, colleagues and friends, our Two-to-One course is a semi-private English course consisting of two students and one teacher.

Each One-to-One English Course is designed to meet the precise linguistic requirements of every individual student. Students can choose the area which they would like to focus on, be it their English conversation skills, grammar or vocabulary.One-to-One English Courses provide the quickest and most effective English language training possible. Before students arrive in Malta, as well as on their first day at the School, we carry out a detailed needs analysis in order to prepare an individual course around the student's needs.Our One-to-One Course is a flexible course programme with lessons held either in the morning or in the afternoon to suit the student's convenience. One-to-One English lessons may also be held at the student's place of accommodation at a slight extra charge. One-to-One lessons may also be booked individually on request.

Alpha School of English was established in 1991 in the popular seaside resort of St. Paul's Bay in the north of Malta. The school is very close to all amenities - banks, post office, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cinemas, etc. It is on a direct bus route to the capital city of Valletta and the old capital of Mdina, as well as to most areas of interest in Malta. It is also the closest school to Malta's sandy beaches which are mainly located in the north of the island. The area is safe and very popular with British tourists, ensuring that students have plenty of opportunity to listen to spoken English outside school hours.

Teacher Training - Creative Methodology (APP-CM5)This shorter 5-day course sets out to cover the main content of the full 10-day programme, with less time spent on the practical element. A wide range of ideas will be explored, creating a forum for experienced classroom practitioners to share and discuss teaching in the modern age. Course content will include the main topic areas:CREATIVE CLASSROOMSA plethora of ideas will be explored, including games, drama, music and art-based activities, to turn dry coursebook content into kinaesthetic, fun and memorable learning experiences.FUTURE FOCUSStaying in the creative mould, the key focus here centres around using modern technology and techno-themed ideas to appeal to young English learners brought up in a modern and social mediacentric world.THE WORLD OF ENGLISHLanguages don’t stagnate - they are constantly changing and evolving so an opportunity to bring your own English skills up-to-date will be included.
