The General English course and IELTS Preparation Course takes place all year round, from Monday to Friday. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course. There are three afternoons a week of IELTS preparation lessons. This course focuses on improving students’ English, as well as on developing their exam techniques. At the end of each week, students will be given a progress test. They will also have the opportunity to sit an IELTS exam during the last week of the course (exam must be booked separately.) If the student is planning to take the IELTS exam while studying with CES, they should contact our Examinations Office on [email protected] for help with registration online.

Language and Culture - Ireland is a vibrant centre of culture in the English language, coloured by the unique heritage and history of Ireland. This course aims to combine language refresher sessions with an introduction to and exploration of the life and culture of this unique location. It will be a mix of classroom work and excursions to see the sights. Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

B2 First Exam is an examination programme that focuses on improving written and spoken English along with the provision of key examination techniques from our qualified teachers. This programme is comprised of 20 hours (20 x 60 minutes) of General English tuition per week

The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

Our most popular General English course consists of 20 lessons of General English Fluency group classes per week. The classes focus on improving your accuracy, fluency and confidence in English. With a focus on real-life grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation you will be better able to communicate successfully with people from all over the world. This course runs in the morning!

Our long-term English language Academic Year Programmes (AYP) offer you a substantial level of flexibility. You can combine different modules and courses to suit your individual requirements. Long-term program students usually begin in our Intensive English Language Course to gain a firm understanding of general English skills.

Our Methodology and Language Development course is intended for non-native English teachers who wish to refresh their own language skills and examine different teaching methods and approaches. This course provides opportunities for teachers to discuss and share ideas with colleagues from Europe and beyond.

Combined CourseThe Combined Course is designed to provide a thorough knowledge of general English combined with a focus on particular areas of interest or priority for the individual student.Students participating in our Combined Course follow a morning Intensive Course with an additional five hours of individual tuition. The individual afternoon lesson allows participants to concentrate on specific areas of language development and work on a one-to-one basis with the teacher in order to achieve their academic goals.

Our intensive English programme is our general English course plus three hours of private classes. The intensive English programme is a great way to get the individual attention you need to deal with ingrained errors. Private classes are also a great way to learn and practice the specialised vocabulary and/or skills you need for your job.
