English for Academic Purposes courses provide language instruction for students who wish to study at a university where English is the language of instruction. Language skills addressed include: listening comprehension, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development for University levels.

Our General English language course is our flagship course. This programme combines our General English tuition with a unique curriculum designed to develop your 21st Century Skills and prepare you for career success. The course develops the confidence and skills you need to express yourself powerfully and is ideal if you wish to enter the workforce or advance your career at home or abroad. General English is the centre of our teaching at British Study Centres and will improve your English communication skills in an engaging, interactive way. Using materials from National Geographic Learning and a coursebook that has been specifically designed for BSC, learn new vocabulary, understand English grammar and get support in the areas you need it the most.

Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Semester course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation. Immerse yourself in the English language and spend a semester studying, getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially produced study materials.

Our Business and Professional English 25+ course will develop your English language skills for professional communication in small, focused groups. This is why we have developed a special modular course carefully designed to improve your business communication skills.In the mornings you will study on our LSI 30 Course. In the afternoons you will study business modules, covering topics such as:  Banking and Stock Markets, Marketing and Advertising, Recruitment, Sales and Negotiating. You may choose the particular modules that are of interest to you, or follow the complete course to attain an advanced knowledge of business English.

Private lessons will allow students to learn at their own speed and study the content of their choice.

Our Business English Course is great for anyone that wants to use English for work. Many professionals and business students take this course to improve their skills and prospects. Our course will help you develop your grammar, accuracy and vocabulary in the mornings. Then in the afternoons, you learn about English for business communication.

Our maximum class size is 12, which ensures that you will have personal attention from your teacher. This course runs in the mornings.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. *This General English language course has: 27 full hours per week (12 group + 15 individual). Course content: Group classes are usually in the morning. In these sessions you will develop your general English language skills, focusing on listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as grammar and vocabulary. Key areas include:Active speaking. Listening to a range of different materials. Practical grammar. Expanding vocabulary. Better communication strategies. Confident and fluent reading. Better writing skills. Discussions and role-plays. Pronunciation. Individual training sessions are usually in the afternoon. These sessions are tailored to your needs and can focus on any particular area of study that you wish.
