The Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business is designed to offer a grounding in all that is required to launch your own business, whether your plans are for a one-person microbusiness or the first steps into something much bigger. Our experienced, entrepreneurial trainers will support you in developing the knowledge base and skill set to analyse and evaluate information to address a wide range of planning and operational challenges.  This is a course with a focus on modern-day approaches to marketing, and with a strong emphasis on the legal and financial requirements for a start up business.

This course develops all aspects of language competence in a personalised programme coordinated by the core teacher. Our General English Morning 20 course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using skills-based and situational learning combined with one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs

The General English Course GE15 is a 15 hours per week module which runs Monday to Friday in the morning for three hours each day. This leaves you free for the remainder of the day to join the Social Activity Programme offered by Cork English Academy, study in our self access facilities or explore Cork and the surrounding areas.The daily three hour lesson covers all of the English language skills–speaking, listening, reading and writing with an emphasis on speaking and listening. The main focus of the General English 15 hour course is on communication skills in real life settings. Course books, workbooks and supplementary material including authentic materials such as newspaper articles newspapers, DVDs, the Internet, books and other media are utilized by the teacher to meet the language needs of all the individuals in the class.

Private lessons will allow students to learn at their own speed and study the content of their choice.

This group course is designed for beginner students learning English for the first time.It is a carefully structured programme of 2-4 weeks, with 20 or 28 lessons per week. There is also an option for 22 lessons per week at our schools in New York and San Francisco.After the course, students can progress onto a longer General English or International Semester Course at A1 (elementary) level. You can also choose to increase your progress during your stay by taking 5 or more additional One-to-one lessons per week

The Pathway Program will prepare you with the required English skills to gain the appropriate level to gain entrance to study at university or college abroad.

The International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) is the most established English language assessment exam recognized world-wide by universities, governments, and professional associations. The IELTS Program is essential for students who need a satisfactory IELTS exam score whether it is for university entrance, professional accreditation or immigration purposes.

Our most popular General English course consists of 20 lessons of General English Fluency group classes per week. The classes focus on improving your accuracy, fluency and confidence in English. With a focus on real-life grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation you will be better able to communicate successfully with people from all over the world.

The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

Our Plus courses combine 20 lessons of General English in the mornings with 6 extra lessons in the afternoons. These afternoon classes are in smaller groups with a maximum of 10 students per class. This allows the teacher to give more attention to each student and focus on the specific areas of English that are of interest to the class.
