In the ACCORD Intensive French-language Course B, students develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and over one afternoon workshop focus on specific topics. This Intensive French language Course encourages students to improve their French language skills through the use of authentic material and updated resources. This course starts every Monday, but for beginners the start date is the first Monday of the month. The hours of this course are from Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and one afternoon from 2:15pm to 5:15pm.

In the course, you will learn to greet, introduce yourself, talk about yourself (family, leisure, studies, work, etc.) and make purchases. We practice very natural pronunciation. You can read simple dialogues and shorter texts and practice understanding spoken Swedish. Our English language Academic Semester courses in Kaplan Vancouver are five-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. The Intensive General English Course is suitable for students who want to maximise on work carried out in the Standard Course. This course takes place all year round.Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course from Monday to Friday (09.30 -13.00 in the UK). There are also three afternoon lessons a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (14.00 -16.30 in the UK or 14.00-16.00 in Ireland) which are focused on improving the students’ speaking skills and ability to communicate through English. In the afternoon lessons, students have the opportunity to improve their communicative proficiency through discussions, topical debates, authentic materials and use of portable and static technology. Course content is partly negotiated and partly based on TED lectures.

You gain basic knowledge of Swedish so that you can be understood and understand others in simple everyday situations. The course is fast-paced and suitable for those who want to learn Swedish quickly. Swedish A1 is for beginners who do not know any Swedish.

The Intensive 25 French language course differs from the Standard 20 course in that it offers a more in-depth study of the French language thanks to five additional lessons per week dedicated to oral communication. With a core foundation built on general linguistic skills, extra attention is also given to verbal communication, helping you grasp the subtleties of the French language.

This intensive General English language course is made up of 30 lessons per week/22.5 hours per week that combine language learning with a special focus on developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. This is best for students who want to study full-time i.e. Monday – Friday (Morning & Afternoon classes)
