With this BWS Germanlingua course of Business German lessons are aimed at those students who need the German language for their work. During these lessons, we focus on the special needs of the participants’ professions.

On the General English 20 Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week (15 hours), which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. Your confidence will improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This Special Focus Programme combines 20 lessons of General English with 10 lessons focused on Business English. Topics cover negotiating, management, marketing, project management, giving presentations and interview skills.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. UMC has official start dates every 8 weeks in Montreal. Students are allowed to start anytime they want, but they need to be advised about the calendar. We do not recommend they start on the last week of the terms because you'll only review the content and take the final exam.

The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The Diploma of Intensive English course allows you to immerse yourself in English for up to 48 weeks and you’ll learn, live and think like a native English speaker. You will have a personalised study plan, regular progress tutorials, and regular language level tests. The course combines 20 general English lessons (15 hours) with 8 Special Interest Group (SIG) lessons per week (6 hours). In the general English lessons, students will focus on improving their English language skills across the 4 key skill areas at a consistent rate — reading, writing, listening and speaking.In the Special Interest Group lessons, students can choose from a number of different options based on their own interests and language learning goals. Example options include — Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge); Business English; Group Discussion; Art and Design; Speech and Pronunciation; Academic Writing Skills; etc.The Diploma of Intensive English course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

This General English language course is designed to give you a solid introduction to the English language and devotes special attention to grammar, vocabulary building, conversation and pronunciation. A Long Stay course has to be a minimum of 8 weeks long.

The Academic Year Programmes are designed for long-term English language training and are ideal if you plan to study English for 6 months or more. They provide excellent value for money and a flexible approach to your studies. You can choose from any of our standard or intensive course provided you meet the entry requirements. This course is perfect for those who want to study at a UK university or develop their business careers.

We offer a standard course, which is primarily designed to develop the four skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening, and to increase your awareness of how English works. You will also learn and revise new vocabulary, improve your pronunciation and polish your English grammar! This Super Intensive language course follows the Intensive course structure with an additional 4 lessons in all 4 skills plus pronunciation and lexical extension.
