CLLC’s Semi Intensive Program gives students flexibility to study 15 hours per week (20 lessons/ week) of quality English language instruction. Students can choose from Reading & Writing, Listening & Speaking, IELTS Preparation or Business English as their primary class while studying the Semi Intensive Program.

This course develops all aspects of language competence in a personalised programme coordinated by the core teacher. Our General English Morning 20 course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using skills-based and situational learning combined with one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs. This English language course prepares students with the skills and strategies they need to make the transition to college and university courses in the English language and other secondary school disciplines. Students are encouraged to develop independence in a range of academic tasks. They will participate in seminars, lead classroom workshops; read and interpret a range of academic texts; take effective notes during lectures and class discussions; write essays, narratives, and reports; and apply a range of learning strategies and research skills effectively.

Our Intensive English language course offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level is. You have the opportunity to customize your course with specific skills lessons, including business English and exam preparation. The course allows you to quickly achieve English fluency and learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English. Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This course is only available to students studying in the USA or Canada. This course offers General English plus 4 lessons per week of electives. With this programme, you will develop fluency, accuracy and appropriate uses of English across all four language skills. You will benefit from excellent guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout this course. Taking the time to seriously focus on your English will open up unlimited opportunities for you. This programme is for students who study for 24 weeks or more.

Our English language Academic Semester courses in Kaplan Vancouver are five-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. This course has 26 hours of classes per week. Immerse yourself in the English language, and spend a year studying and getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially designed study materials.

On the Intensive English Language Course, you will follow the same program as the Standard General English Language Course in the mornings. You will also have afternoon classes and the chance to improve your English language skills even further. These lessons help to build your knowledge of the language, focusing primarily on helping you increase your vocabulary and improve your grammar so that you reach the levels of accuracy you need. In the afternoons, you will be able to further practice the language you have learned in the morning, with a strong focus on listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills through discussions, role plays, video work, and listening exercises.

Our intensive ESL program has ten levels that range from beginner to intermediate to advanced classes. Students will take classes that focus on different English language skills such as reading, listening, grammar and communication. As students improve theirs level they can take other language skills such as pronunciation, conversation or writing. 

Our General English program is ideal for all English language learners, from absolute beginners to advanced proficiency. Classes cover everything from reading and writing to speaking and listening, as well as vocabulary, idioms, grammar, and pronunciation.
