Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination. This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. As taught at VanWest College, the course exposes students to a wide variety of authentic Business English materials. Although the course maintains a strong focus on test-preparation, the course is highly suitable for any student who wants a deeper understanding and practice with modern Business English.The course includes reading and listening skills, writing practice for emails, letters and reports, models for up‐to‐date business language, grammar and vocabulary exercises to train students to avoid common mistakes, role plays of common business scenarios, and ample speaking practice, from solo presentations to group discussions.English For Engineering Some topics will be covered, including learning language specific to civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. With your engineering background, you will benefit from the opportunity to discuss topics such as describing technical problems and suggesting solutions. Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 2:30pm. For students who don’t have a lot of time but still want to improve their language skills fast. On your first day you will take an oral and written placement test to determine your level in English.

Summer Programs are designed for young learners, where they enjoy language classes in a multicultural environment, where they can practice the language and experience trips and social activities.** Available from 7 June 

Our Business Supplementary courses are designed to build your English language skills to communicate effectively in business contexts, improving your employability and job prospects in your home country. This course combines improving your general English ability with taking focused lessons on business skills. Practice workplace communication techniques in English, learn how to participate in meetings and interviews, and acquire business writing skills. You can combine English courses with specialized business lessons of your choice, or with our Practical Business Intensive service in the U. S.

For students who want to take their language learning to the next level, this option builds on the daily skills and language focus with an opportunity to develop in specific areas. Through a combination of Task Based Learning and traditional skills lessons, you will be a part of a class with a specific goal in mind where all areas of language use are activated naturally and effectively.The minimum number to run a level is 5 students per class.
