English Courses, in London

This English language course is designed for learners aged 40+ who wish to combine studying English with spending time exploring the city of London and British culture. Lessons take place in the morning, with excursions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, and one full day excursion on Saturday. Tuition takes place over 26 lessons, 20 of these take place in the classroom and 6 take place in different locations around London. The total number of hours is 21 hours and 40 minutes.

You will learn aspects of English that are relevant to you at a fast pace.

At Nacel English School, you can study English classes in London from elementary to advanced levels. For our General English language courses, we use the most up-to-date, relevant course-books, materials and resources. Our teachers aim to incorporate the latest, most effective English language teaching methods into their lessons; while maintaining our core approach of developing and integrating your pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar; as well as your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The School stresses the importance of the teacher-student school relationship.

This course is composed of: 20 Lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes; 15 students max. per class; Age 16+. During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines. We offer General English language courses for all levels, from beginner to proficiency. We also offer timetables that give you the flexibility to choose a course that best suits your needs from 1-36+ weeks. We believe that you will learn faster and more effectively if your lessons are engaging, fun and relevant, that’s why our teachers use a range of techniques and develop classes that are motivating and build your confidence. This will allow time to focus on any areas of weakness. Any weekly programme is influenced not only by the course book syllabus but also by the learning goals and interests of the students in any one group.

On the General English 20 Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week (15 hours), which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. Your confidence will improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Improve all areas of your general English with our English 15 language course. You will focus on English for real-life situations using speaking, reading, writing and listening. Your class will have students at the same English level as you and the teacher will base lessons around the needs of the group. Group work will be balanced with individual support and encouragement from your teacher. This course runs in the afternoons!

On the General English 20 Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week (15 hours), which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. This intensive General English language course is made up of 30 lessons per week/22.5 hours per week that combine language learning with a special focus on developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. This is best for students who want to study full-time i.e. Monday – Friday (Morning & Afternoon classes)

The Academic Year Programmes are designed for long-term English language training and are ideal if you plan to study English for 6 months or more.
