This highly interactive, community-based course teaches students how to be engaged in their community, learn new skills, gain “Canadian” experience, and improve the quality of life in their community. In a classroom setting, students will study local cultural aspects and current events while improving their English language, critical thinking and analytical skills. Classroom learning will then be applied to real-life, hands-on situations. From the classroom to the community, students are introduced to various businesses and volunteer organizations. Our Afternoon Study and Work English language Programme is for students who wish to study long-term (25 weeks) and gain permission to work part-time during their program. Students will learn all the essentials of the English language through a task-based methodology with this General English language course. While the communicative approach is central, we also consider the individual learning style of our students to ensure they achieve the best possible learning outcomes. All four English language skills, reading, writing, listening, and speaking, are given the appropriate class time through our tailored academic syllabus. This course runs in the afternoon!!!
