The Compact Course offers 20 lessons (15 hours) of general English lessons per week in the UK. Lessons will improve all your key skills at a consistent rate: reading, writing, listening, speaking. You will be assigned to your general English class based on your current Kings Level. We have classes suitable for students at Level 1 (Beginner) right through to Level 8 (Advanced), and you will progress up through the levels as your skills improve and your confidence grows. The Compact Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

The Combination Course takes place all year round, from Monday to Friday (09.30-13.00 in the UK). Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course. All morning courses are based on our CES Curriculum Framework Document which has common CEF learning objectives for each level. In addition each course is supported by published an EFL course book and its syllabus. Teachers complement this syllabus. Course books are sold at the schools at shop prices and students must buy one on their first day. Second hand books may also be available.Levels available: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2),  Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1). There are two afternoons a week of one-to-one lessons, designed to meet the individual requirements of each student. Prior to the first one-to-one session, students complete a Needs Analysis which helps the teacher to plan the one-to-one lessons according to the student’s specific needs. Teachers then work closely with the student to ensure these needs are being met. All students receive a final report detailing their progress and outlining future areas for attention. The minimum age is 16 and there is a maximum of 14 students per class. A combination course is 26.6 lessons (20 hours) per week.15 hours General English in the mornings and 5 hours one-to-one lessons in the afternoons in the UK and in Ireland 20 hours in the morning and 5 hours one to one lessons.

Our standard General English language course allows you to improve all areas of your English language: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing. General English is available as an intensive course (28 lessons per week). For the intensive course you can choose from our optional classes which include Communication Skills, Grammar and Writing, IELTS Preparation and many more. You can select these optional classes in the booking menu. On the Intensive courses, you will: - Learn ‘real’ English using the latest course books and materials. - Learn, review and put into practice new language every day. - Be able to develop your communication skills by working with other students doing activities such as role-plays, pair work and group discussions. - Explore new techniques to help you improve your listening and reading. - Practise and improve your writing skills by analysing and producing documents such as emails, formal and informal letters and reports. - Have regular tutorials with your teacher to discuss your progress. - Get up to 2 hours of homework each evening. The options are: Basic Communication Skills; Communication Skills; Grammar and Writing Workshop; Medical English; IELTS Preparation (Academic); Academic Writing; Cambridge First Preparation; Cambridge Advanced Preparation.

Our Intensive English program offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level. You have the opportunity to customize your course with specific skills lessons, including business English and exam preparation.The course allows you to quickly achieve English fluency and learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English. You can study for as long as you need to, and by doing so will improve your opportunities in future academic and professional endeavours.

As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination.This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

This course gives you the opportunity of living and learning more about the culture and social life of both England and Ireland. Our special long term rates are only available to CES agents. Bookings must be a minimum of 24 weeks to avail of these rates. Students have the opportunity to really further their English language, by learning over a greater length of time. If long term students have the appropriate level, they are welcome to move to our IELTS/Cambridge Examination Preparation Courses or General English with Business English! You can divide your stay as you wish and you can start your course in either England or Ireland - we leave the choice to you. We do recommend that all students who require a visa start their Multi-Destination course in the UK.

This General English language course is composed of: 10 lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class. Course length: 1-50 weeks. Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes. Ages 16+. This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet.

If you are aged 30+ with a current English language level of A2 - C2 (pre-intermediate to proficiency) and would like to improve your English in smaller classes, this is the course for you! You will study in groups of maximum 8 students who are of a similar age to you and you will develop networking opportunities. The course includes lunch twice per week with your teacher and fellow classmates, to allow you to continue the conversation outside of the classroom.

This course includes the General English classes, and also allows you to personalise your course by taking an additional 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of electives. You will benefit from excellent guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout this course. As your English and your confidence improve, you will broaden your horizons and gain a huge advantage in your chosen career or education. This programme is for students who study for 24 weeks or more.
