St Giles London Highgate offers the International Semester Language Course to students wishing to experience British life and study General English for 6 months or longer. Additional modules also available at St Giles London Highgate are: Cambridge English or IELTS exam preparation, English for Business, English for Art & Design and English for University Studies.

The standard Beginners English Language Course will help you develop your basic English language skills and to build your confidence when communicating in English. You will study every morning, and on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons are free for self study, for you to join our social activities or explore London. On this course, you will: - Learn the basic structures in English - Focus on building your vocabulary - Practise the language learned by doing pair work and role-plays - Develop your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills

This General English language course has 24 Lessons per week. Beginner to Advanced levels; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 2 days (6.5 lessons), 3 days (4 lessons). During the lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.

This General English language course is perfect for adults of all ages who want to achieve fluency and accuracy in everyday English. Develop the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing, by learning and practising language in real life situations, with a focus on listening and speaking.

Immerse yourself in the English language on this intensive English course for serious and ambitious students who want to learn quickly. As well as building your confidence and skill in areas including speaking, listening, reading and pronunciation, this course allows you to personalise your learning with extra classes that are focussed on life, study or work-related areas. You will learn aspects of English that are relevant to you at a fast pace.

The General English + One-to-One course is designed to give you a mix of group classes and 1:1 lessons where you can focus on your specific language needs. You study on the core morning programme of the General English course in a mixed-national class at your level for 20 lessons per week. You can then study 5 individual lessons per week with a teacher who will design a study programme based your specific needs.

Our Intensive Academic Year courses are 9 month English courses that will improve your English fluency to the highest level, with more lessons than our general English Academic Year course. As well as learning important general English, you can choose to study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation.Immerse yourself in the English language, and spend a year studying and getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially designed study materials.

Improve all areas of your general English with our English 15 language course. You will focus on English for real-life situations using speaking, reading, writing and listening. Your class will have students at the same English level as you and the teacher will base lessons around the needs of the group. Group work will be balanced with individual support and encouragement from your teacher. This course runs in the afternoons!

Our Intensive English program offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level. You have the opportunity to customize your course with specific skills lessons, including Business Intensive and exam preparation. The course allows you to quickly achieve English fluency and learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English. This English and Culture programme is specifically focused on those who are young of heart and eager to take on new challenges and experiences. The programme is based on the timetable of our Standard Course (09.30-13.00 Monday to Friday) and will focus on the improvement of the participant's general day-to-day use of the English language whilst touching on areas of English life, its history, culture and food. All areas of the English language, linguistic knowledge, vocabulary and communication will be improved through various grammar exercises. There is a social programme included as part of this course that offers various tours and cultural experiences as well as full day tours on the Saturday mid-course that will combine to make this an unmissable opportunity!
