These courses are designed to prepare you for the IELTS academic English exams, with focused training in exam strategies and techniques to allow you to maximise your potential and achieve the grade you need.  The semi intensive course is combined with English for Academic Purpose two afternoons a week.

Individual English training is available via Skype, or face to face in Holland Park Gardens for people adding individual training to a group course. Your trainer will deliver English lessons based on your individual goals. You will discuss these with your trainer who will create your custom-made programme. The evening Italian language course is for people studying or working in Florence and for this reason prefer studying Italian during the evening. The study of the language is organized around the needs of daily life, work and family. The lessons combine grammar and communication in order to reach a sound knowledge of the Italian language needed to solve the problems you face during the day. The Evening Italian Language course includes many hours of extra activities all of them accompanied by one of our teachers. The days in which the course is held are different, depending on the level of the course, but the time is generally 18:00 - 19:30.

 The IELTS examination is fast becoming the leading standardised test for English Language globally and the English proficiency test for University admissions in the UK. Our IELTS course aims to prepare students with the skills and strategies needed to undertake the IELTS test with confidence and to succeed in the IELTS examination.  Focussing on the IELTS exam and suitable for students studying for IELTS 5.5 – 7.5, students will practise and develop the skills needed for the exam.  This course is usually recommended for 5-6 weeks. Start dates: we usually have a continuous enrolment policy, this means students can start any Monday, however we would strongly advise to check availability with the school before booking an exam course. Also entry onto these courses is dependent on passing the school pre-test to a sufficient level. A test will be emailed to the student at the time of the booking, however all students will be tested again on arrival. Should students not be at the right level, our directors of studies may suggest they join a General English course until they have reached an adequate level.

This course is designed for people who want to improve their English level and also develop their skills for using English in a business environment. It combines 20 morning lessons of General English with 8 afternoon lessons focusing on English for Business and students can study for between 2 and 12 weeks.Topics covered will include managing business meetings, negotiations, using the telephone for business, giving presentations and writing professional reports, emails and letters. Students can also choose to prepare for the Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC) during the course.
