Our International Academic Year Programme is designed for students who want to study for 24 weeks or more. Our standard course lengths are 24, 34 or 44 weeks; however you are able to study for longer if you wish. There are lots of benefits including the freedom to move from one course to another without any additional cost. For example, you could start with a General English programme to improve your overall level and then transfer to a Cambridge Examination Preparation course or an IELTS Preparation programme, depending on your individual needs.

This General English language course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

Our General English courses focus on the four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing to help you to use the English language more effectively. Whether you are studying English to improve your career, preparing for university, or for personal development this course will help you achieve your goals: communicate much more confidently; speak more accurately and fluently; Improve your grammar; Increase your vocabulary; Be able to socialise in English more effectively. Adding module lessons to your course will intensify your course and help you personalise your learning. Typical module subjects include Grammar, Conversation, IELTS Preparation, Business and others.

This General English language course has 24 Lessons per week. Beginner to Advanced levels; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 2 days (6.5 lessons), 3 days (4 lessons). During the lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.

This General English language course is composed of: 10 lessons per week; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class. Course length: 1-50 weeks. Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes. Ages 16+. This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet.

This individual General English course is for those with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentation and meetings abroad. This 9 days compact course has: 82 individual lessons; Beginner to advanced levels, 9 consecutive days: 1 lesson: 50 minutes: Hours per week: 68 hours 20 minutes; Courses begin: every Saturday: Includes lunchtime lessons with teacher; Ages: 16+

The Intensive Course is our most popular choice. It combines 20 general English lessons (15 hours) with 8 Special Interest Group (SIG) lesons per week (6 hours).In the general English lessons, students will focus on improving their English language skills across the 4 key skill areas at a consistent rate — reading, writing, listening and speaking.In the Special Interest Group lessons, students can choose from a number of different options based on their own interests and language learning goals. Example options include — Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge); Business English; Group Discussion; Art and Design; Speech and Pronunciation; Academic Writing Skills; etc.The Intensive Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

The Core General English language course is based on the four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. We encourage your fluency and confidence in the language. Your teachers will use the most efficient techniques to ensure you develop accurate grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. At the start of your course  you will also receive 1 year’s subscription to BEET Online (our online learning platform) and you'll also be able to join BEET's Social Programme at least 4 nights per week.

With this General English language course you'll improve your all-round English ability and increase confidence in your day-to-day use of the language.
