Our English for Academic Pathways course gives you the opportunity to develop your English language skills for use in an academic environment. It gives you excellent insight into the culture and expectations at university in an English-speaking location. Course lengths are flexible to suit your current English language level. This course is ideal if you want to develop your vocabulary and grammar, particularly in the key academic speaking skills of discussion and presentation. It allows you to gain direct, no-IELTS entry into a range of universities, private colleges and high schools in Canada.

With Sprachcaffe you can achieve the language level and grade required to enter the university of your choice. To apply for our university placement you require: an intermediate level of the language spoken at the university + all the necessary academic qualifications requested by the university for the course of your choice. Our preparation courses will help you achieve the grade required. Students joining our programme with intermediate language knowledge and fluency can usually reach the level required to join a university foundation or undergraduate course within 24 weeks.

The Academic English course at LAB Vancouver is designed to focus on:+ Grammar Structures+ Academic Vocabulary Building+ Reading Comprehension+ Writing SkillsThis course allows students to improve their reading skills and grammar accuracy in both spoken and written English. In this class, a wide variety of reading texts are studied in detail. The diversity in content exposes students to a broad range of vocabulary and grammar, as well as literary forms. Students practice reading comprehension and analyze relationships between words as they practice using new vocabulary in different contexts. Pathways programmes at LSI's schools in Paris help students gain access into many respected French higher learning institutions. Pathways programmes focus mostly on French language training but also provide support and assistance with university and college applications. In addition, a number of LSI partner institutions in France offer conditional letters of acceptance to LSI students and recognise LSI levels in place of external tests of French.

GV Hawaii’s Options Program is designed for full-time students taking 25 lessons/week and is also offered to part-time students taking 16 lessons/week. The program can also be taken as a stand-alone program of 5 lessons/week, which focuses on topics of student interest.

This course prepares students with the skills and strategies they need to make the transition to college and university courses in English and other secondary school disciplines. Students are encouraged to develop independence in a range of academic tasks. They will participate in seminars, lead classroom workshops; read and interpret a range of academic texts; take effective notes during lectures and class discussions; write essays, narratives, and reports; and apply a range of learning strategies and research skills effectively. Students will develop their ability to respond critically to print and media texts, such as news reports. Students will learn about academic culture, time management, academic integrity and collaborative learning as part of a successful post-secondary experience.
