The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

The IELTS test is internationally recognised in the English speaking world, highly regarded by companies and a requirement for enrolment at colleges and universities in many English speaking countries. We offer preparation courses for this examination as part of an LSI Intensive 30 course.20 lessons per week on grammar and language skills10 lessons per week focus on study skills and exam practice

Our Intensive (30 lesson) General English & CAE course helps students improve all their skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) and learn the grammar, vocabulary and cultural knowledge necessary for living in the UK and using English in an international context. We focus on practical, effective and natural communication and you will get at least five pieces of new language in each 45-minute class.Mornings are coursebook-focused lessons - grammar and vocabulary. Afternoons we focus on materials and exercises to help you practice the Cambridge exam tasks and prepare effectively.The cost of the exam is included in the price

In this examination, practical use of language is stressed, such as skim reading reports for important information, writing memos for colleagues, or more formal business correspondence. The CAE is the Cambridge Certificate which has developed the fastest, and is already accepted in many countries as proof of an advanced level of competence in English.

LILA*'s Cambridge Exam Preparation courses are intended to develop the necessary language skills required to pass the exam.  The IELTS examination is fast becoming the leading standardised test for English Language globally and the English proficiency test for University admissions in the UK. Our IELTS course aims to prepare students with the skills and strategies needed to undertake the IELTS test with confidence and to succeed in the IELTS examination.  Focussing on the IELTS exam and suitable for students studying for IELTS 5.5 – 7.5, students will practise and develop the skills needed for the exam.  This course is usually recommended for 5-6 weeks. Start dates: we usually have a continuous enrolment policy, this means students can start any Monday, however we would strongly advise to check availability with the school before booking an exam course. Also entry onto these courses is dependent on passing the school pre-test to a sufficient level. A test will be emailed to the student at the time of the booking, however all students will be tested again on arrival. Should students not be at the right level, our directors of studies may suggest they join a General English course until they have reached an adequate level.
