Our General English language course is our flagship course. This programme combines our General English tuition with a unique curriculum designed to develop your 21st Century Skills and prepare you for career success. The course develops the confidence and skills you need to express yourself powerfully and is ideal if you wish to enter the workforce or advance your career at home or abroad. General English is the centre of our teaching at British Study Centres and will improve your English communication skills in an engaging, interactive way. Using materials from National Geographic Learning and a coursebook that has been specifically designed for BSC, learn new vocabulary, understand English grammar and get support in the areas you need it the most. *Note: 20 lessons = 15 hrs

 All our executive courses are held in The Executive Centre. The Executive Centre has panoramic views across the London skyline and is reserved exclusively for our professional clients. You also receive a full suite of executive centre benefits, including a full needs analysis, networking events, guest speakers and a social programme for professionals.

Bank holidays

There will be no lessons taking place on UK Bank Holidays when the school will be closed. Fees are not pro rata for weeks where bank holidays take place.

Private lessons will allow students to learn at their own speed and study the content of their choice.

With this English course we give you all the tools needed to achieve your academic, professional and personal learning goals. With your full commitment, we guarantee that you will progress to the next level of English in the time expected. If you do not progress within this time we will offer extra learning support and classes to help you reach your goals. Your timetable is flexible and will be tailored to your needs. You will study the morning programme from 10:30 to 13:00 Monday to Friday and and do extra classes on some afternoons (13:30 – 16:00) depending on the total number of hours you register for.

Our Oxford International English schools offer a comprehensive student support service along with and all lessons being made up of a wide range of activities helping you to become a confident communicator. Our team of teachers give you all the support you need throughout your course and use a wide range of materials in their lessons to help you develop all aspects of your English language. This is a structured course that suits all levels and is an ideal way to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Please note: Entry Level CEFR A1-C2 (Elementary to Advanced). The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

IELTS is a highly respected test of English language skills for educational and professional purposes, particularly for students who wish to go to university in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Our IELTS preparation course will teach you valuable English skills and strategies for taking the IELTS exam, helping you to achieve a better score. Learn about the different exam sections, the ways to maximize your exam time, and the types of questions on the IELTS exam. You will also practice reading, writing, listening and speaking, and improve your grammar and vocabulary. This supplementary course aims to give you a strong grasp of general English, while also teaching you for the IELTS exam. We also offer an Intensive Preparation course that gives you a stronger focus on the exam.

IELTS is an increasingly popular exam taken by students who plan to study at university in the UK and other English speaking countries, either for a first degree or a Master's. We offer a bespoke course which helps you prepare for the exam.A combination of 15 lessons of specialist IELTS preparation and 5 lessons of Speaking & Listening. For an intensive course, add 5 or 10 extra lessons per week of afternoon options.
