By following a General English language Course, students will increase their accuracy in grammar and will increase their competence and confidence in the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. The General Course has 15 hours of teaching timetabled per week. The General and Intensive Course PLUS suits students with limited time to improve their English for work and study, with added one-to-one's. This course is perfect for business people and mature students. The General and Intensive Course PLUS content is the standard General and Intensive English courses Monday to Friday. In addition, you will receive six hours of one-to-one tuition tailored to your specific language needs.

Our five month English Academic Semester course aims to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. As well as this general English course, you can choose an Intensive Academic Semester course, in which you will study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business Intensive and exam preparation. Immerse yourself in the English language and spend a semester studying, getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially produced study materials. Each week you will receive: − 20 English lessons (15 hours) − 8 Specific Skills lessons (6 hours) − 7 Sessions of K+ (5.25 hours) ⦿ Total: 21 hours per week + 5.25 hours of K+

On the General English 20 Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week (15 hours), which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. Your confidence will improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

The Combination Course takes place all year round, from Monday to Friday (09.30-13.00 in the UK). Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course. All morning courses are based on our CES Curriculum Framework Document which has common CEF learning objectives for each level. In addition each course is supported by published an EFL course book and its syllabus. Teachers complement this syllabus. Course books are sold at the schools at shop prices and students must buy one on their first day. Second hand books may also be available.Levels available: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2),  Intermediate (B1), Upper Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1). There are two afternoons a week of one-to-one lessons, designed to meet the individual requirements of each student. Prior to the first one-to-one session, students complete a Needs Analysis which helps the teacher to plan the one-to-one lessons according to the student’s specific needs. Teachers then work closely with the student to ensure these needs are being met. All students receive a final report detailing their progress and outlining future areas for attention. The minimum age is 16 and there is a maximum of 14 students per class. A combination course is 26.6 lessons (20 hours) per week.15 hours General English in the mornings and 5 hours one-to-one lessons in the afternoons in the UK and in Ireland 20 hours in the morning and 5 hours one to one lessons.

In this Intensive General English language course, students join multi-national language classes following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains and competencies appropriate to their level of ability. Objectives: This programme of study is intended to enhance the all-round language and communication skills of those who wish to work or study more effectively in an international context and to make maximum language gains during their time with us. Students will improve their language skills and consider factors affecting inter-cultural communication. Participants will also have the opportunity to establish relationships and share points of view with international colleagues.

The Intensive Course is our most popular choice. It combines 20 general English lessons (15 hours) with 8 Special Interest Group (SIG) lesons per week (6 hours).In the general English lessons, students will focus on improving their English language skills across the 4 key skill areas at a consistent rate — reading, writing, listening and speaking.In the Special Interest Group lessons, students can choose from a number of different options based on their own interests and language learning goals. Example options include — Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge); Business English; Group Discussion; Art and Design; Speech and Pronunciation; Academic Writing Skills; etc.The Intensive Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

The General English language course offers students the perfect balance between language training and leisure time. A communicative approach developing fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing ensures that the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation components are applied to actual language use. Our teachers assess their students' learning needs and objectives on the first day, and then plan their lessons accordingly. In this way, our students are motivated to keep improving, while also having a good time!

This course gives you the opportunity of living and learning more about the culture and social life of both England and Ireland. Our special long term rates are only available to CES agents. Bookings must be a minimum of 24 weeks to avail of these rates. Students have the opportunity to really further their English language, by learning over a greater length of time. If long term students have the appropriate level, they are welcome to move to our IELTS/Cambridge Examination Preparation Courses or General English with Business English! You can divide your stay as you wish and you can start your course in either England or Ireland - we leave the choice to you. We do recommend that all students who require a visa start their Multi-Destination course in the UK.

Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination. This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

We offer General English language courses for all levels, from beginner to proficiency. We also offer timetables that give you the flexibility to choose a course that best suits your needs from 1-36+ weeks. We believe that you will learn faster and more effectively if your lessons are engaging, fun and relevant, that’s why our teachers use a range of techniques and develop classes that are motivating and build your confidence. This will allow time to focus on any areas of weakness. Any weekly programme is influenced not only by the course book syllabus but also by the learning goals and interests of the students in any one group.
