This Academic Year Abroad option (AYA) can be between 24 and 48 weeks. Each lesson is 50 minutes long. This Compact English Course has 82 individual lessons. It's available from Beginner to advanced levels. 9 consecutive days; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 68 hours 20 minutes; Courses begin: every Saturday; Includes lunchtime lessons with the teacher; Ages: 16 +. For those with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentation and meetings abroad. 

This General English language course has 20 Lessons per week (4 lessons per day); 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes; 15 students max. per class: Age 16+. During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines. Pathways programmes at LSI's schools in Brighton help students gain access into many respected British higher learning institutions. Pathways programmes focus mostly on English language training but also provide support and assistance with university and college applications. In addition, a number of LSI partner institutions in the UK offer conditional letters of acceptance to LSI students and recognise LSI levels in place of external tests of English.
