St Giles Vancouver offers the International Semester Course to students wishing to experience Canadian life and study General English for 6 months or longer. Additional modules also available at St Giles Vancouver are: Cambridge English, IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC exam preparation, and English for Business.

Our General English program is designed to help you improve your overall ability in English, in all of the main skill areas. In the morning, you practice speaking, listening, reading and writing in an environment focused on communication. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced user of English, our curriculum is designed to get you talking and using real, natural English. Pronunciation and correction of errors are key components of every course.In the afternoon you may add an elective class to create an Intensive program of study. Weekly tests and month-end skill evaluations ensure that you are guided through the levels towards your ultimate goal of fluency.

The afternoon General English language course is a less grammar intensive, diverse range of classes allowing specialisation in a variety of elective English subjects. Through the use of elective lessons, our afternoon course allows students to focus their language learning on specific skills they'd like to improve.

Our General English language courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

This course develops all aspects of language competence in a personalised programme coordinated by the core teacher. Our English language Academic Semester courses in Kaplan Vancouver are five-month English courses that aim to take you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. This course has 26 hours of classes per week. Immerse yourself in the English language, and spend a year studying and getting to know a new location and culture. The course is an effective way to increase your fluency, and you will be helped by our exclusive and specially designed study materials.

This English language course from VanWest Vancouver is based on an integrated skill curriculum, morning classes will teach you specific strategies to improve your English language. This English language course will build students’ understanding of the basic grammar, vocabulary, and functions of the English language. This course allows taking 2 extra lessons daily than a standard General English Course.

The General English Courses are designed for learners of all levels and have an emphasis on speaking, communication and a high level of learner participation. The goal is to improve your accuracy and fluency as you move up the levels from beginner to advanced plus.
