Our General English language courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

In the course, you get to talk about lifestyle, leisure, and friendship, among other things. You get to read dialogues and texts and work with word knowledge. We practice natural pronunciation. In grammar, we work with, among other things, word order, adverbs, adjective, and noun inflections, and reflexive verbs. You will learn to write different types of texts.

The General English Language Course develops your core language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) so that you can speak English confidently and apply practical English skills to communicate in everyday situations. Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination.This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

The Intensive 24 course at LSI is a General French language course that will give you an understanding of the French language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

The Study Year Programme is designed to provide a comprehensive language programme which will help you prepare for your future and achieve internationally recognised exam qualifications. This programme allows you to study on a wide variety of English in Chester courses, including General English and Exam courses.

A 30-lesson per week Spanish Language course especially recommended for short period stays. You will leave feeling more confident, with improved overall communications skills, fluency in Spanish, and complete independence. Optimised time and results with 4 morning (in groups of 5-10) and 2 afternoon lessons (in groups of maximum 5 to 8 students). If only 1 or 2 students enrol for a certain level, the lessons from 13:30 – 15:10 will be adjusted to 5 private or semi-private lessons per week.

In the course, we discuss different texts and work a lot with word knowledge to give you a nuanced language and broader register. You get to write different types of texts and repeat grammar at a high linguistic level. The teaching is largely adapted to the needs and wishes of the group
