With this General English language course you will join multi-national language classes following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains, skills and competencies appropriate to your level of ability. Objectives: This programme of study is intended to enhance the all-round language and communication skills of those who wish to work or study more effectively in an international context. You will improve your language skills and also enhance your inter-cultural communication.

This General English language course is made up of 20 lessons per week/15 hours per week that combine language learning with a special focus on developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. This is best for students who want to study at a steady pace (Morning classes only)

They provide excellent value for money and a flexible approach to your studies. You can choose from any of our standard or intensive course provided you meet the entry requirements. Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. Course content: The morning and afternoon sessions will focus on helping you develop your general English language skills through a variety of useful and engaging materials and activities. Every week will include: Grammar and vocabulary carefully selected by your trainer based on your needs and goals. You will practise these throughout the week. A focus on speaking, with the majority of your classes designed to maximise your speaking time. Extended fluency activities including discussions, role-plays and presentations. These will give you the opportunity to develop your speaking further and bring together the grammar, vocabulary and skills you have worked on during the week. Listening and reading activities from a range of sources. A focus on writing skills, for example formal and informal emails. Pronunciation. This may be in the form of a dedicated lesson and/or connected to the grammar, vocabulary or skills you are studying. Practical communication strategies, for example agreeing and disagreeing politely, interrupting, and showing sympathy. A focus on social and intercultural English. Correction and productive feedback on your speaking and writing.

The Compact Course offers 20 lessons (15 hours) of general English lessons per week in the UK. Lessons will improve all your key skills at a consistent rate: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. You will be assigned to your general English class based on your current Kings Level. We have classes suitable for students at Level 1 (Beginner) right through to Level 8 (Advanced), and you will progress up through the levels as your skills improve and your confidence grows. The Compact Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

The General English language course offers students the perfect balance between language training and leisure time. A communicative approach developing fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing ensures that the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation components are applied to actual language use. Our teachers assess their students' learning needs and objectives on the first day, and then plan their lessons accordingly. In this way, our students are motivated to keep improving, while also having a good time!

Our General English courses are our most popular kind of course. They will improve your overall English language ability. We focus on all the key areas, such as speaking, reading, writing and listening. After you finish a course, you will be given a report and certificate. KAE is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK, so you can be sure of the quality of our courses. Each week has specific vocabulary and grammar aims which are tested at the end of each week. Classes start in the morning and finish at lunchtime, leaving the afternoons to enjoy London. Students will get 15 hours of lesson time per week. Regular homework and in class tests will be given.

ATA and AYA programmes differ from shorter courses at LSI because students receive a greater level of academic support and management, including two additional weekly sessions with a teacher. An individual study plan is designed for you to suit your level, individual aims and the duration of your course. We continue to check your progress with regular meetings to make sure you achieve your aims.

This General English language course has 24 Lessons per week. Beginner to Advanced levels; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 2 days (6.5 lessons), 3 days (4 lessons). During the lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.
