Taking the time to seriously focus on your English language skills will open up unlimited opportunities for you. This program is for students who study for 24 weeks or more. This course includes General English classes, and also allows you to personalize your course by taking an additional 4 lessons per week across a wide selection of electives

The Standard General English Language Course at CES takes place all year round. Lessons are held every morning, from Monday to Friday. All morning courses are based on our CES Curriculum Framework Document which has common CEF learning objectives for each level. In addition, each course is supported by a published EFL course book and its syllabus. Teachers complement this syllabus. Students will work on improving the English language skills involved with speaking, listening, reading, and writing so that they can improve their comprehension and communicate more freely.

During the General English language lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You will use a textbook and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines. For courses longer than 24 weeks, please refer to the International School Year courses. 20 Lessons per week (4 lessons per day);1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes;15 students max. per class; Age 16+.

Our General English Language course is designed so that you can learn English developing the four essential macro-skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening) in a vibrant, engaging and interactive environment. We mix face-to-face delivery with the latest technology and extracurricular activities to help you enhance your English skills quickly and easily. Our teachers are accomplished professionals who can guarantee that your academic progress is seamless and consistent.

This course is perfect for those General English students with exacting needs which must be met in a short space of time. Requiring just one week away from the office, this course is ideal for busy professionals and executives who need to prepare for presentations and meetings abroad. It has: 92 individual lessons; Beginner to advanced levels; 9 consecutive days; 1 lesson: 50 minutes; Hours per week: 68 hours 20 minutes; Courses begin: every Saturday; Includes lunchtime lessons with teacher; Ages: 16+.

The Combination Course takes place all year round, from Monday to Friday. Morning lessons follow the same programme as the Standard Course. There are two afternoons a week of one-to-one lessons, designed to meet the individual requirements of each student. Prior to the first one-to-one session, students complete a Needs Analysis which helps the teacher to plan the one-to-one lessons according to the student’s specific needs. Teachers then work closely with the student to ensure these needs are being met. All students receive a final report detailing their progress and outlining future areas for attention. The minimum age is 16 and there is a maximum of 14 students per class. A combination course is 26.6lessons (20 hours) per week. 15 hours General English in the mornings and 5 hours one-to-one lessons in the afternoons in the UK.

Our General English courses are designed to improve your English language skills and give you more professional and academic options in the future. As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

This General English language course has 10 lessons per week. 1 lesson: 50 minutes; 15 Students maximum per class; Course length: 1-11 weeks; Hours per week: 8 hours 20 minutes; Ages 16+. This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture and the internet.

ILSC offers a wide range of courses. You can take any combination you wish, depending on your interests, goals, language level and schedule. Most courses are offered at many different levels and last four weeks.

Learning English 'Cambridge style' is a more intensive experience than studying General English at the same level. The programme is designed to help you match your fluency with a high degree of accuracy. You will quickly gain confidence and develop your own unique style of expression.  You will build a rich vocabulary and review grammar,which is tested in the Use of English component of the exam. The course has  a strong emphasis on functional English to make you better-equipped to communicate flexibly in your workplace or university, and in society. That is why a Cambridge Certificate is seen as a life-long qualification and not just a piece of paper! The Cambridge Test is one of the most recognised tests around the world, and a lot of companies in non-Englishspeaking countries require you to have a Cambridge test score when you apply for a  job. Cambridge CAE is also accepted by the Australian Department of Home Affairs for visa purposes and for entry into Bachelor and Master's courses at all major Australian universities.Who is this course for?The Cambridge English course is designed for students who wish to acquire the language and test-taking skills necessary to undertake the Cambridge test. Because Cambridge qualifications are recognised by over 20,000 universities, employers and governments around the world, having a Cambridge English certificate gives you avariety of opportunities as it is a very prestigious qualification to possess.This course is also a perfect option for those students who are not even planning to sit the test but who would like to have a real challenge in English learning.What skills will you gain?The Cambridge English course is a 2-level program offered at First (FCE) and Advanced (CAE) levels. Each level takes 12 weeks to complete. Our dedicated teachers have meticulously created our syllabus to incorporate all four language skills and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.
