The work placement programme is aimed at EU passport holders who wish to combine English language study with paid work in Ireland. Depending on students’ language level on completion of a pre-arrival Skype interview, they will be advised as to the correct length of study required prior to the start of their paid employment. The programme is particularly suited to students who are highly motivated, reliable, present themselves in a professional manner and have work experience in areas where there is demand in the Irish job market.

Ielts is the International English Language Testing System. Our IELTS course helps students acquire the capability in communicating in English through listening, reading, writing and speaking. Over 1,000,000 tests are taken each year, mostly by those wishing to attend an English-taught course at university or college.

The exam preparation courses are designed to help you achieve the result needed in your chosen language exam. These official language exams are used as a proof of language proficiency for immigration purposes, university admissions, or for employment. In this course you will learn and develop test-taking strategies and skills.

At City language School, our 25-lesson Intensive General English programme develops all four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing, along with grammar and vocabulary. To focus on a particular aspect of your English and intensify your learning experience, you will also add one of the Skills Modules and Elective Lessons to your weekly timetable.

Our Business English is an integrated curriculum designed for mature students looking to gain English fluency for use in professional business situations. Students learn business through listening, reading, speaking, and writing alongside real case studies and current events. This innovative, project-based course that will allow students develop and practise business English skills with hands-on experience in realistic simulations. Students will be fully engaged in lessons and will learn through participating in tasks.

Working while you study can help complement your study and living experience. There are a number of reasons you might want to undertake part time work while studying including assisting with living expenses and gaining work experience in your study area.

Study & Travel is a unique programme delivered in Ireland, it combines the opportunity for NON EU students to study in Ireland whilst giving the ability to visit Ireland and Europe. This course is designated for NON EU students.13 weeks of General English + 12 weeks of Business English followed by BEC Exam

This English language course is designed for students who are looking for a Study & Travel program delivered in Ireland. This course allows NON EU students to study in Ireland, and work part-time and gives them access to the rest of Europe off just one visa. At City Language School we are happy to assist you with CV preparation, job search, and interview techniques. This course runs in the morning and prepares you to do the IELTS exam.
