The tests are available on our website www.ghs.co.za. Please contact our Registrar ([email protected]) for further information.The ExamThe exam can be written in Cape Town.Where possible, exams take place in the last week of the course.Therefore, students can return home on the Sunday of their last course week. Please see the price list regarding which courses required an additional week of accommodation and which do not.Cambridge regulations require a minimum number of candidates for each exam to be administered in Cape Town. Historical experience is that this minimum is always reached for FCE and CAE. CPE candidates may need to do the exam in their home country.Good Hope Studies organises registration for the exam. Please note that the Cambridge exam fee and the books need to be paid for in Cape Town at the time of registering.

Who is it for?These courses are suitable for people who need to improve as quickly as possible, people who wish to focus on specific areas, and people who learn best in a one-to-one environment.Course detailsIn the first lesson the teacher and student discuss the student’s needs and interests and decide on a syllabus. Some popular areas of focus include English for work, General English (focussing on individual weaknesses or priorities) and exam preparation.The student can expect to:• Direct his/her own learning, with support from the teacher;• Get plenty of feedback on his/her own use of language;• Discuss topics that interest him/her.Ask your student to send us a needs analysis before the course starts so we can prepare accordingly.Private lessons can be booked Monday to Friday (20, 25 and 30 private lessons) or Monday to Thursday (16 and 26 private lessons).Shared Private LessonsTwo students can share a teacher for private lessons if they booktogether, are at a similar level and require a similar focus. The second person pays 30% of the fees.
