The morning General English classes improve your use of English, increase your vocabulary, extend your grammar and give you confidence. We include a visit to a local business once a fortnight with your teacher.​ The morning General English classes improve your use of English, increase your vocabulary, extend your grammar and give you confidence.​ The afternoon English for Work classes offer you English practice in: -Cross-cultural socialising with colleagues from different countries -Presenting yourself in a job interview -Selling yourself, your product or your service- through the language of persuasion, compromise and empathy -Dealing with difficult customers or situations- making yourself clear without causing offence -Increasing your business vocabulary and grammar structures -Writing texts, emails and reports -Virtual meetings and telephoning -Accurate pronunciation and clear speech.

Join our General English class in the mornings to improve your grammar, skills and vocabulary then join our teacher in exploring the wider world of English history and culture, through visiting interesting houses, gardens, castles and abbeys as well as walking in areas of outstanding natural beauty like Dartmoor and the South Devon coast for 2 afternoons per week. Then on the third afternoon, you have time in the classroom to discuss English culture in general- English food, politics, ideas and social customs.This is more than just an English course- though you learn a lot of English too! In a small group of maximum 4 people, you can spend one day revising your modal verbs through visiting Buckfast Abbey with its living community of Benedictine monks and another discussing sustainable living and eco tourism with our Transition Town team. Perfect for Intermediate plus language learners looking for more than just a language course! Student travel insurance is included for all students.
