Our Intensive English program offers a fast, enjoyable and effective way to improve your English language skills, whatever your current language level. You have the opportunity to customize your course with specific skills lessons, including Business Intensive and exam preparation. The course allows you to quickly achieve English fluency and learn grammar and vocabulary that will be useful in every day English. You can study for as long as you need to, and by doing so will improve your opportunities in future academic and professional endeavours.

The Compact Course offers 20 lessons (15 hours) of general English lessons per week in the UK. Lessons will improve all your key skills at a consistent rate: reading, writing, listening, speaking. You will be assigned to your general English class based on your current Kings Level. We have classes suitable for students at Level 1 (Beginner) right through to Level 8 (Advanced), and you will progress up through the levels as your skills improve and your confidence grows. The Compact Course is available year-round with weekly start dates, and is suitable for students of all English levels.

This intensive General English language course is made up of 30 lessons per week/22.5 hours per week that combine language learning with a special focus on developing critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. This is best for students who want to study full-time i.e. Monday – Friday (Morning & Afternoon classes)

As well as taking lessons, you will have plenty of time to sight-see and explore your destination. The course is semi-intensive, and is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced, with classes made up of different levels. The focus is on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and all our schools offer extensive and varied activities programs to help you make the most of your destination.

Our Semi-Intensive English course is a semi-intensive programme that allows you to balance classroom tuition with structured study and free time activities. You will improve your English language ability at a speed you feel comfortable with, while having time to enjoy your destination.This course is available at all levels from Elementary to Advanced and you will be placed in a class which is suitable for your level. The course focuses on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You’ll also learn vocabulary and grammar, and how to speak in formal and informal discussions and strategies.

General English Language courses at Lexis English offer students the flexibility of combining their English language education with a large range of options classes – personalising each student’s course to suit their academic needs. For students wanting to brush up their English skills for travelling, employment or to work towards a placement in one of our academic programs or Certificate or Diploma courses, our General English course is designed to get results. We understand that every english student comes to Australia with unique goals, plans and learning needs. Lexis 360° is our student care program designed to ensure that all Lexis students receive individual support and attention, initiating the most successful study experience possible. General English Part-Time is CRICOS registered and consists of a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Studying a General English Language Course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course consists of the 20 morning classes plus 20 afternoon specialised elective lessons per week, allowing students to maximise their study day and develop a wide variety of skills. Our General English Super Intensive course covers the key language learning areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening, using one-to-one tutorials and regular progress tests to respond to the student’s individual learning needs. These electives are: academic speaking and writing, exam skills, confident speaking, English for journalism... among many others.

In this course, we communicate on a wide level and you will get to practice for all the aspects of the YKI-test (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). You will learn to discuss different themes on an abstract level, both in writing and in speech. The course also has a lot of home assignments. This is an excellent course if you want to integrate into Finnish society and get work or a place to study after Lärkkulla

Study General English three times a week. (Three times per week =3hr per day). This option is great for someone who has a more flexible schedule and wants to study in between shifts. Maybe you work in a bar or restaurant and want to fit your studies around your job. If that person is you, then three classes a week is a great combination. Your teacher will set you homework and extra reading so that don’t miss out. And of course, they will be happy to review any topic with you that you worked on at home.
