General English Language courses at Lexis English offer students the flexibility of combining their English language education with a large range of options classes – personalising each student’s course to suit their academic needs. For students wanting to brush up their English skills for travelling, employment or to work towards a placement in one of our academic programs or Certificate or Diploma courses, our General English course is designed to get results. General English Full-Time is CRICOS registered and consists of a minimum of 20 hours per week with an additional 5 hours per week of Guided Individual Learning (GIL).

The TOEFL Program is for students who need a satisfactory TOEFL exam score for university entrance in the United States. This program focuses on improving reading, writing, listening and speaking. The exam can be taken at the school or in the student’s own country since there are test centres all over the world.

The IELTS test is internationally recognised in the English speaking world, highly regarded by companies and a requirement for enrolment at colleges and universities in many English speaking countries except in Canada and the USA. Combined CourseThe Combined Course is designed to provide a thorough knowledge of general English combined with a focus on particular areas of interest or priority for the individual student.Students participating in our Combined Course follow a morning Intensive Course with an additional five hours of individual tuition. The individual afternoon lesson allows participants to concentrate on specific areas of language development and work on a one-to-one basis with the teacher in order to achieve their academic goals.

Studying a General English course will give you an understanding of the English language and take you all the way from beginner to fluency. This course focuses on communication skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.
